Definitely still in it but Poch needs to get it right from the start.

Ajax have really capitalised on how scared teams have been of conceding away goals

Spurs are still well in with a chance in this tie.

We are definitely stil "in it"!
If that ball that struck the post had gone in, for 0-2, then game over.

Eriksen said it all in the post match interview.
"First half we were ball watching and standing around for the first 20 minutes, and letting them play their game, and they deserved to win. Second half we went after them and ran at them, knocked them off their game and showed that we can win"

The return match is going to be very interesting.
Son is back. Sissoko will be back at full fitness (Poch risked playing him today).
Now what about Vertonghen?? Concussion can be a lingering problem. Any news?

Son is imo Spurs' best player and one of the PL's best 11 players. He is having a fantastic season and his return will definitely boost Spurs' chances.

Kane could be back for the 2nd leg

Will be slightly different for Ajax this round than their last 16 and quarter final second legs.

They go in knowing 0-0 is enough. It's not always a benefit so will be interesting how they set up

Edbo, sorry to hear about all the trouble outside the ground last night, hope it won't put your brother off.

I suppose we have to live in hope, but I really cannot see Spurs turning this tie around. Without the main man Kane, Spurs never really look like scoring, and they will need at least two in Amsterdam to progress, because no way will they stop this Ajax team from scoring.

The display last night first half is pretty much the sort of form that has become the norm over the past three months with so many injuries, so didn't surprise me at all.

I think we will win 2-1 too. Son back.

Lloris
Trippier(urgh) Toby Vert Rose
Dier Sissoko
Eriksen
Dele Son Lucas

That would be the team in the 2nd leg for me. More numbers in the middle and Dele as far forward as possible, he is not very good deep.

Agree with that team but would play Foyth ahead of Trippier. He is such a liability and offers nothing going forward any more

I also thought Foyth looked good for the ten minutes he came on

I think we have a great chance. I really don’t get the hype about this Ajax side. Thought they were alright last night but they had a huge opportunity with all our injuries to put the tie beyond us. They didn’t. We have some very good players and with Son coming back I am strangely optimistic. After ten minutes last night I thought we were gonna get a pasting. We didn’t. Score first up there and it all changes. Let’s try and stay positive, they have a big cup final before the next leg too

Chronic, Son has been woeful last couple of games, he blows hot and cold, and had a good spells, now he is in one of his poor spells. The only way Spurs could possibly turn this tie around is if Kane was on the pitch.

How you put Trippier back in the side after yet another abysmal performance last night. I would sooner play without a right back than have him playing. Although Foyth is not a full back, he is light years in front of Trippier as a player.

We also have a big cup final as well. Remember Bournemouth, where we absolutely need three points, all the other teams around us have pretty well gimmees at the weekend. So as it stands the Bournemouth game is bigger than Ajax next week.

Ajax actually have a cup final on Sunday so they won’t be coming into this with a 10 day break this time either

If we beat Bournemouth, we'll beat Ajax, I reckon.

We'll go into the game with a lot less pressure on us as top four will be secure and the Everton game won't even be in our minds.

We don't beat Bournemouth however, and we're still juggling two priorities, which will be our downfall. Possibly in both, which would be unthinkable.
