Very doubtful Spurs have offered £65 million for the Palace defender, when he only has 18 months left on his contract.

Its a classic distraction tactic. Make a noise over there in regards to deal that's never gonna happen while quietly try and get a deal done with someone else without the noise and competition.

The only Problem with Spurs is that they are being rejected by high profile targets and hijacking players targeted by the likes of Wolves.... Gonna look at bit stupid if 60mln quid approaches for Geuhi get knocked back and you end up with some bloke on loan from France who nobody has ever heard of.... Feels Like its the usual BS PR

All true.... I guess some players & agents are focusing on the fact that better wages are on offer elsewhere and high profile/ bigger name players are maybe giving us the swerve on the assumption Spurs are not a "win now" club. Perhaps 2 straight season of a lot of injuries are putting off players....Its simply not that appealing.... Sure the cup runs are OK to a point but the best players want more.

After all, wasn't the new stadium supposed to have cup competing with the "very best".... Doesn't really feel like it
