Roofe wasnt deemed good enough by managers nor fans to play central striker.
We bring in Bamford. Majority of fans delighted but hes on big wages to attract him.
Bamford crippled
Roofe stars.
Roofe is playing better than Bamford so wants parity in terms of wages.
Cant afford to pay Roofe what he wants.
Contract breakdown.
Either sell now for fee or he leaves for nothing end of the season.
So we finish 3rd having best season since promotion to the Championship. Keep the manager, check. Then what's the plan? Sell all the key parts of the team? I understand selling Jansson - not happy about the fee or whether we get a replacement but the reasons make sense to sell. But Roofe as well...we are then asking 2 new players to hit the ground running in a new system and new club. That's if they are replaced at all. I'm seriously worried now

Scottish League isn't that high a standard. The Championship as a full league is better, more competitive, better players. Celtic have a good team, no doubt. Rangers have a decent team. But below that, it's not that good of a standard compared to the Championship. Doesn't mean there aren't good players like McGinn etc playing for these clubs but plenty of small leagues that have some gems there. Doesn't make the league good.
You just need to accept that, take a deep breath and not feel the need to argue with everyone who says it.

But below that, it's not that good of a standard compared to the Championship. Doesn't mean there aren't good players like McGinn etc playing for these clubs but plenty of small leagues that have some gems there. Doesn't make the league good.
