FFS we should have got him last season when he was world class not this season now he's turned to complete dross.

What happened to Fernandes anyway, is this guy gonna be instead of him or as well, they don't play the same way so could work well together. Did Fernandes fall victim to the Carrington triangle?

Why is Milenkovic a much better option than Maguire?

It looks like we are enquiring about his valuation in the event Pogba is sold.

Plus it's weird that we're going after targets we apparently went after under Jose, now he's gone

Which one of these fits..?

Is Solskjaer also planning on playing defensive, terrible football?

Did Jose actually want to transition to a faster, more pressing style like Ole seems to want?

Is Ed picking the transfers/listening to the scouts regardless of managers who have little input?

Are the papers just making it all up?

If Pogba were to stay, and we still bought in Savic, would that work?

Then if Pogba left, we'd go straight in for Fernandes as well I presume..?

Longstaff too, longer term option for Matic?

He's everything you'ed want in a CB in terms of attributes. He's tall, tough in the tackle, composed on the ball and fast enough to play in a high line.

If Maguire plays on the half way line and the opposition counter us, what are the chances of Maguire catching up? We already have one slowish centre back in Lindelof, we certainly don't need another.

A midfield of Matic-Savic-Pogba sounds like Jose's wet dream.

I agree, Longstaff seems to be lined up as a long term replacement for Matic.

It also looks like we are in the market for another to partner Pogba, and you are probably right that we would go after another if Pogba is sold.

I would've thought if Savic came now, and Pogba stayed that he would take the DM role which he's played more often this season (apparently much deeper this year, hence less goals).

Leaving the B2B role to be challenged for by McT, Perreira or Fred I guess.

There will obviously be rotation too.

Mike

Yeah I’m surprised more hasn’t been said about our supposed interest in Maguire (and possibly Savic) when Jose wanted him last season but Ed was against it then. It’s as if we Ed has no idea about anything and should probably get out the way of telling his managers who they can and can’t buy.

Admittedly I have only seen Savic play in the Euros (i think) and he seemed to play higher up the pitch.

I didn't know he has been deployed as a DM.

Fair enough, I wasn't asking because I disagreed, just don't know anything about him tbh. No idea what kind of CB he is.

The club has always said that big transfer deals take time to go through. One year later? The important thing is that Super Ed delivered on Mourinho's requests.

I don't know that for a fact, maybe he was just slightly deeper in a midfield 3 or something. I just read that he'd played in a deeper role this season, maybe it was by a fanboy to justify his decline from a 'stat' perspective, although he still won the midfielder of the season or something

Things are looking up, gonna have a hell of a midfield when Fabregas and Thiago show up now!

That’s a good point, these managers never actually told Ed when they wanted these players so Ed’s got all the time in the world.

Didn't mean to send.

Was meant to put 'and Sneijder'

Carrington FC would finish top 4 easily.

The source is Di Marzio, i don't know how much you trust that guy but it seems to be him breaking the news.

Milenkovic is not quick from what I've seen

I think he looks a right cart horse...

I think it's why CB's are being touted around for silly prices. There's a real lack of quality ones knocking about.

I said quick ENOUGH to play in a high line, he won't be Aubameyang for pace.
