"Reinvest money made back into the club"?

Pull the other one as well lad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe you don't know. But City receives TV money just like every other PL club.
City also receives money from gates, merchandise and sponsorship just like every other club.

Sponsorship money from the UAE accounts for less than 10% of total revenue before anyone starts shouting about fake sponsorship..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You keep telling yourself that and believing little bits of information that are fed to the fans and press that are wholly inaccurate. You never heard of Cookin' the books? Because that along with bribes is exactly what has been going on at City for years in order to keep their noses 'clean'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe you should forward your findings to HMRC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or uefa
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah or both.

Done talking to you, you are in a complete state of self-protective delusion

You missed the uefa joke obviously, (the ones receiving the bribes).

City will never be held in the same breath as proper clubs like United, Arsenal and even the Scousers no matter how much you win.

Those three clubs earned their success and grafted. You lot have a wealthy Arab bankrolling you. It's like playing manopoly with all the bankers money at the start.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Or do you have a problem with City primarily because our money is "Arab money" not English or American money?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh please you are comparing apples to oranges. Grow up, nobody cares which country the money comes from, it's the vast amounts you have spent year after year, go add up the totals and even if you account for inflation/deflation, nobody has bought the Premier League like City have done, Chelsea are not even close in 2nd place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We spent because we could afford it. Just like Madrid & Barcelona are spending today.
Deal with it.
We have no debt. Our owner pays UK tax.
They invest proceeds back into the club and local community.
But this is bad according to you.
Maybe we should adopt the silent Stan model.

Yep, and we all know why you 'could afford it'. Not because you earned the right to afford it by making your club extremely profitable and creating huge revenues is it.

Correct. That's the model of many big businesses.

You spend big initially, make losses for the first couple of years, grow the brand, increase sales, then naturally, success usually follows.

I can see why you’re annoyed, if Liverpool had paid arsenal good money for Adebayor then I’d be annoyed too. But it’s been 10 years, let it go.

So deluded.

Yes that is how it works for many successful businesses but not you. You think you are a Super-Club now because you have won the PL a few times in recent years along with a few other domestic trophies? Take Mansour out of Man City and you are nothing, you have nothing. Do you really believe your club are turning Real Madrid level revenues/profits to support your wage structure and £200-300m/year transfer spending? Because 99% of your players making your first team ain't coming out of your youth academy.

We bought only one player (Mahrez) last season paid for by selling some academy products.
The age profile of our players today means we won't be spending that much every season.

But for Arsenal to catch up to City & Liverpool, they will require that £200m - £300m annual level of spending.
Unfortunately, FFP means you are no longer allowed even if your owner is willing and able.

I think we need £250-£300m total to get the squad we need to compete for a good few years, I don't think we would need to spend that every year.

Everyone knows the reason we need this, because in comparison to recent PL winners we have under-spent and where we have spent we have done so very poorly far too often and wasted money. We've allowed several area of our first team to weaken without replacing with the required quality or really replacing at all over recent years.

Our owner is certainly not willing and who knows if he even is able, I've read articles from reputable financial sources stating that he is cash-strapped and has been ever since he completed the purchase of Arsenal.

You know better than anyone that there are easy ways around FFP without incurring any repercussions

We got done for ffp in 2014 (same case under review again).
Liverpool are your best bet on how to escape ffp punishment.

No we didn’t. UEFA asked for financial details and were happy costs related to the stadium and didn’t fall under FFP.

What were they going to punish us for?

posted on 11/7/19

Yes you did.

Liverpool did breach ffp. UEFA accepted the reason Liverpool gave for their failure to comply.
