I really doubt we in for Saliba. Before we supposedly made the bid for him rumors were that Arsenal were in for Cebellos I wonder if we went in for Saliba to get Arsenal to back off . Just a thought.

There's no point constantly finishing above Arsenal if we don't win things with it. I'm not going to consider any true power shift until this starts to happen. We reached a European final but so did they, and it was the closest we came to a top 4 race with them in 3 seasons.

We need to try and do enough business that we don't have to look down at them, and look up instead.

No.......he’s played in a pub league and the champions league a couple times.

Unless Spurs win a trophy there is no power shift. In 20 years time no one will be saying "Do your remember that world class Spurs side from 2016 to 2019 that didn't win anything"

Not quite seeing the issue with what I’ve put. Ndombele has only played in a pub league, didn’t he even play in the French equivalent of the conference before his break through season?

I’m not even having a go at Saliba being a bad player because of this.....

Strange comments but free to do so.

Van dijk played in Scotland which is ligue 1 equivalent. He turned out to be alright.

if you wanna play for a gud club, sign for arsenal. if you wanna play for a gud team, sign for spurs.

TrOpHiEs are completely irrelevant to whether there's been some sort of power shift as we've not competed for top honors in a decade. A few FA Cups mean nothing in the grand scheme of things for instance.

I'd argue the shift has happened and it's due to Arsenal having a worse manager, squad & stadium but mainly no money to improve - that's the crippling factor in all of this. Before you could call it a blip but from what I can see long term Arsenal are only going one way as we now don't have the funds to give ourselves a chance

If Spurs get Saliba will they loan him straight back
