walker peters should be absolutely nowhere near the side. i like a local lad as much as the next spurs fan but he is quite clearly so far off the standard required that its very concerning if he will get regular minutes for us.

I really don't get what you're basing that on chronic. He's always done at least okay in all games he's played. He hasn't stuck out at all as somebody "so far off the standard required" in any match.

I think some of those judgements are harsh, we have to be realistic that not all players are brought in to be stars, players like Davies and Llorente are there for depth. Others, like Sanchez and Foyth are for the future.

D Sanchez +
V Jannsen -
J Foyth -/+
S Aurier -
L Moura +
V Wanyama + (injuries, not a bad signing)
M Sissoko + (huge win for Poch)
B Davies +
F Llorente +
C NJie -
N'Koudou -
F Fazio -
M Vorm +

I make that 7 decent signings. When you add the obvious wins you mentioned he's done well. Even the best managers get around 50% success on transfers.

Most of the times poch buys are young players, with that you’re bound to come up short on a few of them especially if coming from a different league.

End of the day the buys that have worked have propelled us into a top team.

I doubt KWP will be the regular fullback, both Aurier and Foyth will be in front, but he has had some decent games, and he was certainly a better option than Trippier.

Think you have to take age and price in to account.

Its easy to call players flops but how good is someone who cost £7m-£11m supposed to be in a top 4 EPL team.

Of those players I'd say that only Janssen, Njie & Nkoudou have been total flops. All the others have offered something in line with what we paid for them, and a couple (Sanchez. Foyth) still yet to come in to their prime.

At RB, i'd happily take Alves for a season, then we have 4 or 5 options there.

Spend the bigger money on CM and FWD positions.

Still have a sneaky we'll get a big player in late in the window - an attacker and an established name not a up and coming like Lo Celso

Tottenham hit the recruitment mother lode (both in players and management) more than half a decade ago, and they've signed nothing but duds ever since.

The end.

Given that we've signed players like Dele Alli, Dier, Alderweireld, Son etc. In the last half decade i'd say that comment is bollox
