Careful Jazz, some will get upset if you raise concerns about Kiko when you should just be happy that we won and not entitled to express an opinion.

Pros and cons to the keeper yesterday. I'd like a back-up with some experience at this level.

Bielsa not being happy isn't the same as Bielsa being bloody angry. I recall he wasn't happy at Vieira being sold...., wasn't all bad after all.

We need to add more to the ranks. A keeper, a striker (or two) and a centre back. Plus a few more wingers....

We did well yesterday, better than I expected.

Way I Think Bielsa sees it regarding the defence is that we lost Pontus but brought in White. We also gained a pretty decent right back in Dallas. This frees up Ayling to be play cb if he needs to.

I'm ecstatic that we won. It was a great start - 3 points away from home. More please!

But we've not had a really good keeper since...since...David Harvey?

John lukic until the back pass rule was introduced

And Nigel Martyn arguably the best keeper we have ever had

David Harvey was the best we've ever had at a time when we dominated the game.

We have a striker in Costa. Kent and Harrison on the wings with Pablo down the middle.
—————————

Costa a striker

Not for me, looks and plays
like a winger, which strangely is what he is

Yes, Martyn and Robinson - how could I forget them? John Lukic always seemed like an accident waiting to happen too.

Costa definitely a winger.

Roberts could be a 10 or striker. The issue with him is injuries.

He can play down the middle too

posted on 5/8/19

So can, but I wouldn’t play me there.

We play one up front, playing Costa in that position, don’t see how that works at all

He's not a first choice striker but Bielsa likes his small squads......

posted on 5/8/19

Shouldn’t be any choice striker.

My view.

Based on what ???

When you’ve watched him ???

When you’ve watched him play upfront ???

His goal scoring record ???

His style of play ????

Literally nothing points to helder costa, playing has our striker

posted on 5/8/19

Zzzzzzz

He can play upfront.

posted on 5/8/19

Based on what ????

It’s a simple question

posted on 5/8/19

Based on the fact that he's played there before. Or are you telling me that he hasn't played as a striker before?

Similarly Harrison, a winger, can play up front too.

At no point have I said he'd be 1st choice.

It's a view, not one I'm going to be hauled over the coals for. Not difficult Wakey.

Harrison was ineffective up top.

No offense but you could stick me up top. Yes I can say I have played there but I would be sht.

posted on 5/8/19

Harrison would be lost upfront, same has costa

Serious question

Have you watch him play upfront ever ???

posted on 5/8/19

If Roberts and bamford got injured and Costa went up front, zero chance we’d go up
