It's a view. A personal view. I acknowledge that there are posters with a much greater knowledge than I.....

Particularly the ones who are always right.

Still waiting for reason, we wouldn’t be able to afford the manager next season

Problem with Costa as a striker is HE CAN play as a striker...but is PRIMARILY a winger. Taking a player who made a name for himself as a top championship winger, and using him as a below average striker is madness.

It would mean we lose a game changer from the wing, and have a no hope up front...the knock on effect is crazy.

Bamford gets injured, we need a striker up top, not a number 10, not a winger, but a player who is a striker by trade.

You're a clever young man Wakey. Work it out for yourself. You'll be waiting a long time for me to jump on request

I'm not suggesting we should, I'm saying he could be used up front. But let's run with a one dimensional interpretation....

Honestly.

I’ve thought about it

And really don’t understand why all of a sudden, we wouldn’t be able to afford him, what would change.

It’s a simple question, honestly It a not trick question, I might be missing something

We have a striker in Costa. Kent and Harrison on the wings with Pablo down the middle.

Might work......

Leaves Forshaw as back up goalie.

I'm not sure this translates as Costa should be our sole striker. Typically taken out of context Wakey but hey ho. Nowt new. I'm bored now. You're clearly right, I'm clearly wrong.

Happy?

posted on 5/8/19

Shall we take me to issue over Forshaw as a keeper too?

Can't understand Roofe going to Belgium of all places, what a boring country, and football league they have. You'd think he'd prefer the excitement of English football and live in his home country with the great possibility of Leeds going to the PL. I know it's money, he might regret it. No loyalty to Leeds.

Belgium boring country?
They have the best pigeon racing in the world and the
best cycling racing programme in the world,
there international football team is better than
Englands...I wish I lived there!!

I think Kemar's made a great decision. He will probably learn a great deal in Belgium and more importantly, he won't be in the UK after Halloween!

You can grow sprouts in Belgium too...see you in

Trust me, it's as boring as fook. I've lived there.
Got nothing going for it apart from beer and chocs
Ardennes are ok but that's it. Only Luxembourg is more boring. As for cycling, the days of Eddie Merckx are long gone. We (UK) win everything these days, well almost everything. Their 'Jupiter' league is on a par with SPL at best. Roofe would've been better off at Celtic or Rangers haha. Good luck to him though.

Playing for Anderlecht does offer European football though. That's probably a big plus.

Went to Brussels for a few days, hated it.

Probably something to do with me hating the EU though 😂

The pigeons are flying believe me, these are not
street pigeons, these are bred down from generations of Belgian fanciers, worth millions and sold around
the world.
What you do in Belgium is grow sprouts in the
garden, look to the sky for your pigeons flying from
Southern France or Northern Spain..in the evening
you relax with a beer and chocs, turn on the TVs
and watch classic cycling, later a bit of tintin to end
the day....trust me I've never lived there!!

Good luck to Roofe. I always like seeing English players go abroad and test themselves somewhere new.

What PL clubs would have gone for him? Someone like Burnley or Brighton - sounds more boring than Belgium to me.

posted on 6/8/19

Living & working in another country & culture, good on him.

Shame he’s left, but trying his trade overseas I respect him for it.
