Plus considering that stone has said you've never been in for fernandes, it sound like an attacking 8/10 isnt something you're looking at, unless you've been linked to someone else in that mold that I've missed

With all these rumours of an out-and-out AM coming in, I’m starting to wonder if Ole is really serious about switching to the diamond as default.

Much of the talk yesterday after the Dybala news was that we are still after a number 10. If that's the case then it would unfortunately seem that we'll be playing Pogba deeper next to McT/Matic rather than going for a new CM. The way we've been setting up in pre season would also suggest this.
If we are going for a 10 though we could do a lot worse than Eriksen. PL proven, not afraid to put the work in. I also didnt realise he was only 27.
I think he might go 4231 with McT and a Pogba in the 2, and wants a proper number 10 for the central of the 3 still.

Pogba’s clearly going to be played in cm. It’s less of an issue if we have two dynamic players in the midfield with him.
