The issue with things like Twitter is that they do sell your information to gain money and have been hacked or attempted at many times. That's a lot of information to have.
In China they have it to monitor what people say and do online. Get on the wrong side and you get a visit or disappear. I've known someone who said something and had a visit and warning. So now he self censors himself online.

Our team is 50/50 black white
Everything gets ruined by terrible people eventually.
Freedom of speech is fraught with difficulties.
Nobody has the right to shout 'fire' in a crowded cinema.
It is the freedom to disagree with politicians, people in power, with no repercussions.
There is no, or shouldn't be, any freedom to abuse people because you don't like them, the colour of their skin, or religion etc. That is an abuse of the freedom that is so important to us.

I deleted my Facebook account a long time ago. Cesspit.
You should go to "timeline" on google. It shows a fun map of where you have been since you had your account. I can see all of my day's since 2016. Then it shows your photos taken from that day too. It is hours worth of fun and intrusion.
I was in turkey recently and discovered Wikipedia is banned there!
