Saying unionists are England's problem from Irish posters is revealing, and smacks of sectarian racism, because some Irish must not view us as truly or partly Irish, but alien???

If this is aimed at me you are so wrong TBAB.

I was inferring that the problems of the North for the last 100 years are a product of Englands making
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not Ireland leaving after fighting to do so at all?

Irela Nd was chilled with brit rule to an extent, after 800 years, and then rebellion came, targeting prod and unionist and leadingbti republicans being killed by Brits, and so Both sides are to blame.

Just like the ra and uvf are to blame, and the dup and SF.

Takes two to tango, Irish mate.

And remember, most of us came from Scotland.

While millions from Ireland went to Britain too, if you know your history, lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, because the English starved them.

A policy that Priti Patel was keen to reintroduce to get a a Brexshit deal.

I’m amazed Leo & Ireland have been as tolerant as they have to be honest.

Irish.

Would you admit Irish republicsnism has caused much of the trouble in recent decades, and not England.

Along with unionist bigotry and Catholic church interference in our society.

But to say, aye England are to blame is only part of the equation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would say both republicans and the unionists that fight them are to blame.

One side cannot be blamed more than the other. They are all a bunch of murdering cants imo.

Can we get back on topic please. This is meant to be about killing hippies because they like squirrels.

So we agree they are all cants

However it does not detract from the point that the initial mess was caused by England initially

Sizz, Brexit happening wether you like it or not mate. You are just going to have to deal with it Son
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it happens it happens, but we ain’t there yet.

Boris the clown has just regurgitated Theresa May’s deal, basically putting lipstick on a pig/polishing a tuurd.

The DUP have already rejected it, Labour won’t vote for it, the SNP & Lib Dem’s won’t vote for it.

Think it will be another extension, general election and second referendum.

What a time to be alive!!! And all this to get rid of a few Polish builders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't look to the DUP to be good guys mate, they're the most backward political party in the UK!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know, they’re vile.

However, this helps remainers, not the government.

So that was a billion quid well spent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why are so many people so horrified that we dared spend money on infrastructure in Northern Ireland?

It's not like the DUP took a bribe which is often how it's portrayed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because it WAS a bribe you facking moron

Would May have offered them a "deal" otherwiaseif they didn't desperately need their support in the commons?

(that turned out well)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NI infrastructure got 500 m.

Cool beans

Let's not forget here folks that the original Ra were a legitimate army created to free a nation from a colonial oppressor.

The modern Ra are a bunch of scrotes who use the notion of republicanism to be cants just as the UVF etc. do the same with loyalism.

You won't find many people in the south with any sort of fondness for the Ra, quite the opposite they're pretty much hated and seen for what they are, a criminal gang.

Again correct and a lot of the old anti English sentiment is gone as the vast majority of that generation have since died out.

I do know my history and Im not taking any sides.

From a troubles perspective they were all as bad as each other and a bunch of murdering barstewards

However we were never always happy with 800 years of rule and were for the main a thorn in the side of the Empire
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Irish, that was the Celtic song, If you know your his Tory, angle...not a cheap dig.

I also know England did wrong in Ireland over the centuries, and do not defend that, but at the 1916 time, many in Dublin were British accepting let's day, and only went rebel after the rising boys were killed.

Look how many Irish fought with the British against Germany then.

I am cool with being Irish and British here, as the GFA allows.

And we live in peace, largely and I spend weeks every year in the republic and love it.

The bigots need telling...and I do from orange and green cave dwellers.

Many of us from unionist backgrounds travel to Dublin to watch irish rugby and imagine if we met sizzle, supporting England, telling us to get out of Ireland ffs.

Yea, fair point sir, can we just watch the match and then migrate.

It's literally become a joke these days "Ah the Britts are at it again"

I've always been very anti Brexit simply because the relatiionship between Ireland and the UK is at it's strongest ever (well it was pre Brexit vote) and now lots of old issues are coming back to the fore again, the fact that there is even talk of violence from either side is very upsetting to hear.

Also I love how easy it is to hop on a plane and go to the UK.

Same with uda and uvf here...I live in Carrickfergus and we hsve rival uda factions killing each other over wives, drugs and a bonfire....yes, a bonfire a no it's from my house was set alight by one group and led to a feud between grown men.

These gangs bring heroin into loyalist areas too now.

We don't want them.

Like we don't want a new ra.
