Yup, laugh away. This transfer was laughable.

It is embarrassing - All of that will just go into paying for Sanchez's wages

Man Utd have tried to find Harry Maguire’s head with a cross every single match since August, it’s November, they still haven’t found his head

Don’t panic, Ole’s at the wheel!

Are.we selling him? Iv seen reports Roma want to pay £12-15m but I assumed it was paper talk

You would have thought the law of averages would dictate that big slab head would have been found at least once

No one is panicking, we've accepted this season is a write off.

They have apparently been very impressed, and don't want to wait till the end of season where they think his value will go up.

According to most who post here - Mike was a VAR liability. IMO, we should have kept him, as long as he would have kept a positive attitude being a fringe player. I think he wasn't happy with that role, henceforth the loan. In today's market, 10-15 mil isn't great for him. If Harry's worth 80, Mike surely rates 30-40. But Ed loves giving away good players and overspending for slightly better.

Theres no way Smalling is a fringe player in this team. He's our best CB.

Lindelof gets bullied and pacy attackers run rings around Maguire.

Smallings pace and 1 on 1 ability means we can play a higher line and defend aggressively. That's a huge loss in games like this.

King and Wilson dominated our CB's today.

Massive overreaction and I like Smalling. Today was nothing to do with the CBs defensively.

apart from the fact lindelof got bullied all day and maguire couldnt deal with the pace of wilson and king which meant we couldnt get the ball up the pitch

hmm ok

Exactly today was nothing to do with defence. Overall our attack was poor. There was no urgency until the last 10 mins or so coupled with some missed chances.

OP, are you Matth 7?

I thought Smalling is coming back when the loan ends? That’s what I last heard about a week ago.
I like Mike. His rise from non league, stuff of dreams..
but Defensively we are fairly good, but at the moment, silly mistakes are being punished. Soft goals being conceded. Unless they are Worldys.
Would be nice to see Tuanzabe back, cos at times Lindelof looks weak.

The headline at the top of the post is wrong.

Mike is better at defending than both, but he’s useless on the ball which is all that matters these days for defenders supposedly. At least we have Jones and Rojo as back up.

CB's weren't the issue today

Chris simply isn't better than McGuire, imo anyway, would have liked to see him alongside McGuire but it wasn't to be

I think Maguire has been good for us. Our defensive record is up there with Liverpool's. The problem lies at the other end

merry bang on, open play goals are a scarcity atm, need creativity in Midfield and a clinical striker, wonder if PSG would consider letting Cavani go?

Smalling is certainly better than Lindelof. I always liked Mike.

But it’s a lack of quality in midfield and attack that is hurting us, not the defence.
