Mount is a good player but imo Maddison is better and of a similar age. James has huge competition at RB
Abraham is good but unlikely to overtake Kane. Tomori has best chance at the moment simply due to the lack of talent at CB
I would say Tomori even if he probably is the least promising of all those prospects (I do like him but not as much as any of the others) because CB appears to be pretty wide open

Mount is two years younger than Maddison..Maddison is better at the moment but, when he was Mount’s age, probably at a similar level, and Mount will improve by time he’s Maddison’s age.
They all have a lot of competition for their places . I think Mount has a good chance due to a weak midfield. However him, Maddison and Foden do still all fulfil similar roles.
CHO has Sancho, Rashford tocontend with. He is so young and raw still I struggle to think about his trajectory.
I'd have to say James. I see him being a future Chelsea captain and an England regular. The boy's got the lot, I really don't see any chinks in his armour that experience won't sort out.

Gonna be hard for anyone to get in ahead of trent when you consider how valuable his skillset is
RLC is better than Mount and Maddison so it’s moot once the big man’s back in business.

Very tongue in cheek that comment
Absolutely. Right up in there
I think Trent will end up in midfield replacing Henderson for club and country and from the little I've seen of James he looks the real deal. Tomori looks to have the lot but his temperament seems spot on. Incredibly calm.
I think it'll come down to who wants it more. It's pretty boring being professional and minted. They'll all get games, all seem reasonably grounded and all have tekkers. Great to see.
I think James might end up in Midfield. He was one of Wigan's best player when he was on loan and they ended up using him there instead of RB.
James has the same issue as TAA then Robbing in that there are many calling for him to move forward to midfield as he progresses
I think theres still this idea that a certain amount of talent can be wasted at FB
For what it's worth Mount is the best pressing player I've seen for us
And that's more important than ever now
*for us in an advanced position
Yeah I’m personally not a fan of this trend of people pushing for RJ/TAA to move into CM like they’re being wasted or something.
Fullbacks in this day and age are as important as any other position, and finding a top class one is harder than finding a top CM.
Guys like that could fill an extremely important position for 10 years plus. Why not take advantage of that?
I believe when he nails the starting spot down James will be getting the sort of assist numbers you would expect from our midfielders, as Trent does for Liverpool
I think Reece likes working from the area of the pitch he gets to at RB as well
FBs have always been important but not as appreciated it seems. Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Maldini, Gary Neville (and his combination with Beckham), Javier Zenetti, Denis Irwin (Best FB under SAF, imo) etc. Those guys combined attack and defence well.
CHO had a bit of a shocker yesterday...his passing was woeful...mind you TAA wasn't a lot better
Lovely to see our lads getting a shot in the international side...shows they are going the right way...& if there are better starting options than them, (Madison over Mount) then it bodes well for the team i'd say...
Southgate has had his eye on Mount since he was at Derby tbf
He's been impressive on the pitch at times for us but he's also got that important trait successful players need of being able to prove their worth on the training ground. Seems like a pet project of Lamps along with Tomori
Also Chelsae have more of Southgate's ear than others thanks to Holland being there. Might be a little unfair on say Maddison but our lads are always gonna get a chance at least
Reece came through the ranks as a RB didnt he? Trent has only been a RB these last two seasons and wants to play cm.
Plenty disagree with me on this anyway.

Yes he's always been at RB but he plays like a box to box midfielder if you want to go find clips of him playing for Wigan
And he was leaps and bounds their best player so it was considered weird for that to be a RB. Someone even wrote an article saying he was probably the most gifted player to ever play for Wigan
There was another good article slightly focused on him I want to find which was about defenders who can beat the press

He actually used to play CB in the academy.
Trent is doing so well there in a position that isnt the easiest to source great players for that I cant see why you would tinker with that
