I've been to loads of hardcore,punk and metal gigs and I've never seen any fights Cas.Gigs are supposed to be enjoyable and I'm not one for this fighting palava,if someone goes down in the pit you help them up,and I've been to some gigs where the pit has been ferocious.Simple.Is the "luvvy dovey" approach just confined to the hardcore/punk/metal scene then??

Btw, i'm man enough to tell you this.....I almost fainted at that pink concert in Sheffield, they were dropping like flies around me, but I rushed out and got some fresh air.

Fair do's Hydy some gigs can get red hot especially in small venues,but big venues have some kind of air con,was it turned off at the Pink gig?

To be fair I've been told Pink is an awesome show live, I'm not a huge Lady Gaga fan but took our lass to see her last year and it was pretty amazing!

Scraps were breaking out everywhere last night, usually because the chavs who'd had a bit too much booze/whatever were bouncing about into anyone and everyone, and eventually they'd hit a lass and someone would react. It all got out of hand very fast but security was non existent so it pretty much lasted until they got pulled apart or someone "won".

Like I said Cas I've been to loads of gigs and the only time I seen a scrap was when I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Eastlands and deffo not at hardcore shows, its the unwritten rule,help each other out.If people don't want to be barged about stand at the back or side.

Cas it was very good, and it was a proper show with great dancing etc, I much prefer stereophonics,they are great live.

Must admit I'm not looking forward to the Monkeys now at V this year if they seem better on a small stage! I seen pink at V and she was quite good, but like Cas said Gaga was amazing on stage! Still my favoutites live are Pete Doherty (whichever band he in) as he seems to create such an atmosphere without actually saying owt and a little known band from Hull called The Paddingtons are amazing on a small stage!

I've seen Maiden too Myth,96 I think it was,without Bruce, Blaze Bayley on vocal duties.I didn't know Maiden had ever played Huddersfield,wish we had a decent place in Huddersfield to see bands.

NOFX, Bad Religion, Offspring, SLF, Meteors, Guana Batz, New Model Army, all have a bit of a mosh pit where everyone gets stuck in, But as soon as someone goes down they are pulled straight back up by whoever is nearest to them, Never seen any proper scraps break out, Bit of skirmishing, But nothing that does not sort itself out.
I would have to say having seen them on numerous occassions that the Inspiral Carpets were by far the best live band i have seen, Closely followed by the (proper) Stranglers.
Both had strong spines in their teams, A good drummer at the back, A good man up top, And a couple of flair players.
