Don, Winks is not good enough mate, neither is Sissoko or Dier. Problem is the previous managers transfer dealings were supposed to plug the game in midfield and at fullback, but thus far Sessignon is nowhere to be seen, N`dombele seems incapable of starting more than one game a week, and Lo Celso where is he? All three have been at the club for four months now, and none has nailed down a first XI spot, something not right.

From the outside it looks like you have gone from a squad going places to a unhappy camp.Probably multiple reasons for that.

Not sure it is an unhappy camp mate, just players that are not good enough getting picked over players that are clearly better. In time, the manager will sort out the right combination. Doesn`t help that none of our summer purchases seem up to being first choices.
Winks is a tidy player with good vision, but he is too weak for this competition. Easily bumped off the ball. You could see the United players all knew that!
Sissoko and Ndombele are much tougher players, Sissoko especially.
I think Mourinho's choice of starting eleven was abominable.
And he didn't change it quickly either!
Even if N’dombele can’t do ninety minutes, he Shizuoka be starting every game and be subbed if he’s knackered.

Lets be honest Winks is a mid table / average player.
Average is not an insult , it just means we need better.

Winks is a useless stat machine of pointless passes & Sissoko covers a lot of ground getting in the way but hides from the ball & when he does have it is totally incapable of doing anything with it..... Complete joke of a paring. They have started more games as a pair in CM than anyone else in 2019 and look at the results..... The problem is very obvious. They provide ZERO cover to the defense and their distribution is so poor it leaves the from 4 isolated (see last night)
absolutely agree Diamond-been saying this for a while. this central midfield area is absolutely pivotal-if they can provide any defence cover-then the whole team suffers-and has been happening for a while now.

Ndombele must be secretly on 40 Marlboro a day, he should be fitter than he is by now
Winks and Sissoko should be no more than squad players, the fact they have played so often for us over the past 12-18 months speaks volumes
They simply don't protect the defence nor offer a great deal on the ball. Winks is neat and tidy but NDombele makes him look amateur
Sissoko, well Jose said he doesn't see him as a CM and has already gone back on his word, hopefully he learns from this game to never do it again unless its a cup game against fodder
NDombele and Lo Celso are no worse defensively and should be played together until we sign a DM because Dier is even more useless
