Thoughts from last night

Agree..

thought the performance was good... one of those when you look back at the end of the season and think 'that's the sort of game that's got us up'...

but, ref Kiko, too modest J-dog... he far surpasses BPF's goalkeeping capabilities... by a mile... agree he still has a Kiko memento in him though! - I joked with Kebab at the start of the season that Kiko will become a Leeds legend.. I think he's on track... we won't be looking for a keeper if / when we do go up either.. top keeper is Kiko

I thought we were very good. Hull tried to stifle us and it worked quite well, but limiting them to one good chance which we had well covered in the end.

To turn nearly conceding into scoring by moving from the whole length of the pitch in one swift move is something we're getting very good at and shows the incredible fitness levels.

We grew into the game and when we clicked up a few gears the pressure on Hull City was relentless. But, overall, it wasn't a stand out performance. Passing wasn't up to standard, poor crosses and too many unforced errors.

What was important from last night was; three points, another clean sheet, individuals digging in and providing support in areas that don't necessarily form part of their core duties.

We are hampered by injuries, no team in this league would ordinarily cope without a Cooper, a Forshaw or a Roberts. Despite having a small squad we are digging deep to deliver results. That is encouraging.

Our expectations have risen. I think we are all mindful that we are approaching that time of the season where we've traditionally struggled to maintain form. I'm hopeful that Bielsa & Co have learnt from last season and that the team will prove to be more resilient time around.

We will lose at some point but hopefully we'll continue to bounce back and go on another run. If we are top two come February with some healthy distance between us and 3rd place I believe that this will be our year.

My expectations were low for this season but ivebeen pleasantly surprised thus far......

Fair analysis not sure why this got two one stars. Would they like to explain themselves? Not that it bothers me at all.

Dont get this kilo has a mistake in him stuff.

When was the last time he made a mistake which lead to a goal, not this season.

He started poorly, however when you look at the situation he was thrown into it's hardly surprising he took time to settle.

Theres a difference between not doing everything all the time perfectly and making errors which lead to goals.

Think some people are still judging him too much on how bad he was last year

Charlton and Preston spring to mind.

If final ball was better, we’d have murdered hull last night

Time and time again we got into Greta positions.

Let’s not bull, we’re going up

the decision making between

do i cut it back? or drill it across?

was horrendous

never mind the actual execution

Berardi was MOTM last night by a country mile

Bamford excellent again I thought, his work-rate is fantastic and he really puts himself about

Costa good at times, but still had some terrible crosses/decisions

Records prove that more than often the team that wins the league has the best defensive record and we shouldn't underestimate how good we have been at the back.

If we can just get that final ball sorted we will absolutely walk this league.

We had massive problem conceding early goals last season, huge credit to coaching team for addressing that.

Its odd how people always go on about our goals, there's only 4 teams with more than us and they're all in the top 6 and one off those is our main opponent,(at the moment!)for the top!..

Scored 9 more but let 10 more in!..

The next best outside of Brentford are 11 behind West Brom!..

Our defense is brilliant and our attack is doing its job, don't know what the problem is apart from more goals would be better but there is only one team that are running away with the goal tally, we've scored more the last few games and there is time enough to catch them up!..

Not that I think we will!..

I am a cautious fan to say the least but I think Bielsa and the players have a steely determination this season that will get us up. I think the scary thing is there are still players to come back in to offer competition and players like Costa who are growing game by game.

Nice if we could add a couple but I think we might do it anyway with the versatility of the squad.let's see what January brings.

We were the joint 10th highest scorers only a few games ago. 8 goals in 3 games has shifted us into a better position.

Happy to admit i was wrong about Kiko who has been very good this season Spanish. Couldnt see how he was ever going to put a shirt on again after numerous errors at the end of last season and then storming down the tunnel after the Derby playoff game without any appreciation of the fans. He has got away with a few dodgy moments this season but those dodgy moments have gone from 2-3 a game to one every 2-3 games. Far more consistent. Must help having a great defensive unit in front of him though too. He hasnt had to deal with the 1on1s he was facing on a regular basis end of last season.

yeah, i was simply suggesting why people had been going on about our goals tally. Its improving like you say and long may that continue

Kebab!.

As for our defense, I hope we can keep it together or we'll be needing someone as good as or better than White!..

White and Cooper are a great partnership!..

Put Kiko in the mix and we'll not find much better, but it has to be said most off the team are dropping back and helping out a lot!..

Probably helped, a lot, to have a pre-season where he could get to know his defence & they him.

Great spine to the team now though - & he’s a key part of it 👍👍

I don't think they restrict their 1 rating to Jonty, there's clearly universal appeal for them.....!

There is a bloody-mindedness to 'not d ick around' this year. Ayling and Bera putting their bodies on the line to prevent shots getting in, they were immense yesterday. Kiko with points-saving stops in the last couple of games. And for the second goal, Bamford started his run from the goal-line, and sprinted down the pitch to get to the final ball. Is there better evidence of our determination to win this league? The soul of this team is forged in the bitter memories of last season, and it is white-hot. There is no celebration in being 10 points clear. The only statistic that matters is that we keep winning. Other teams are beginning to believe they can't beat us. Hull's body language after the second goal said it all. Does anyone think this feels like Wilko's promotion season all over again?
