That's a strange criticism to level at him given his record in these matches. I actually think he's shown he can be very pragmatic (in a good way) in a tactical sense. More often than not his tactics on these games are spot on.
What he's yet to show is that he can successfully build a team with a consistent philosophy. This is what wins you league titles.
We've had relegation form for maybe 1/3 of a season and we're still ahead of you.

I still have my doubts over Ole tbh. Not sure he is tactically astute enough for United when we play the big guns of Europe/Prem. He isn't helped here with two novices in McKenna adn Carrick sitting next to him. A top quality CDM, another midfielder and a right sided forward would make a huge difference. Again though, I really worry about how we set up for set pieces with this zonal marking - I think we ride our luck at times.

Nothing wrong with having doubts, I do too, mainly because he doesn't have a record behind him of winning big stuff.
But he ain't clueless, garbage or a bum, as he is showing. We may never win a big trophy with him, but I'd like to see him given the chance to try. And if he fails he will leave a better team imo

His management of martial has been the best since lvg, I’ll say that and he will likely have his best goal scoring season with 8 weeks injured. So he deserves credit for that.

In terms of signings I’d love us to look at partey, Saul, greelish in midfield and you have likes of sancho and Werner and maybe even traore is an option for the right? But partey would improve our midfield big time. Partey, mctominay, Fernandes and Fred with maybe a greelish would be solid.

We actually have a decent squad and I think they are underachieving under ole, even before the Bruno signing.
There are other managers that would definitely get more out of the is squad.

My own club Chelsea lost Hazard and signed Pulisic who's been injured and made no other additions to the squad, had relegation for for over a third of the season and we're above you with a novice manager who was managing in the championship last season.
And we're above you. Let that sink in.
Also we don't ride our luck at times. Since we beat PSG we have scored significantly less than expected and conceded far more than expected even if XG goals at times is bad.
Since Solskjaer took charge we are near 100 point teams for shots for and against
..................................................................................
Honestly couldn't give a sheite about your stats FFS! expected this, expected that, who gives a fook?! watch a foooking game for a change and you can see where the weaknesses are!
