Or at some point they open the flood gates, accept the deaths and the immune survive to burn the rest - just like a film. I know its not what 'decent' governments do but still.

People working on the vaccine are the most important.

For the record, nnh was first on here with this rumour.

He said 5pm on Friday.

I think this is a gross over-reaction and the mark of a would-be dictator seizing powers that he will never give back.

As for buying guns..,probably not a bad idea.

There will be lockdown in London by the end of the week. Too many people ignoring the guidelines.

If I'm honest I think the UK should do it now. Italy probably wish they had at this stage.

Bigger problem however is after a two week lockdown we won't go back to normal it will be back to our current state, then perhaps back to lockdown on a regular basis.

I wanted to close the borders and lock the whole country down in January if I'm honest.

Here's a typical comment from FF tonight.

'I don't need to remind you how Scottish football fans have been towards us and our players over the past 8 years. The SFA? Even longer we've put up with their total bullscitt. I for one want every team bar ourselves to die.

"But who will we play ffs" I hear you ask. I don't give a schitt anymore. I'll take playing on the moon over this disgusting rhabid league and the absolute scuumbags that follow it.

RIP motherfuqas!'

Some changes to get through the filters

If Hearts are doing this after one week it speaks more for how close to the wall the club was than an indication of what will happen to other clubs

I fully accept I am probably in the undereacting category but in 4 weeks with huge social distancing and school closures we will be over the peak and on our way out of it all

Yeah, think I'm too late to change and yo he honest I'd like to do this year under Umbrella to see if this is a way I'd like to work.

IR35 opens up risk on tax. Perhaps if I stay in this world I'll consider it more but for now the experience is worth more than the tax efficiency

I had a reassuring message today to allay my concerns about starting

How are we all?

Probably like most others im anxious tbh. I have taken every precaution possible and will continue to do so. Most of my friends have been laid off already. They'll receive 203EUR a week immediately and the government has said this money should only be used for food etc.. all utilities loans etc can wait.

Scary times. I think the only thing that can be done is to close all borders and have a two week quarantine for everybody. I don't see anything else improving the situation.

Everyone still think this was caused by a guy eating a bat??

Agree...it's 12 months. Probably best to start as you mean to go on and avoid any potential penalties/back payments next year.

I heard 50000 on Monday mate.

Thought that was staggering but 140,000 is incomprehensible.

Take care!

We are pretty much in lockdown but not officially, have been for over a week now. I took a drive tonight into town just to get outta the house and it was a ghost town. Was eerily silent. Strange feeling in Dublin City. From what I can gather we are about a week ahead of you guys. Pretty much everything is either shut or empty.

Is it inappropriate to place a bet on Prince Philip being dead with Coronavirus?

This is an interesting listen for those with time on their hands (most of us!)

The guy is an ex GAA footballer and a barrister from Derry. He makes some good points imo

Heard a rumour it's starting tomorrow night, military involvement as well.

Personally can't see it as there's been no civil unrest, riots etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye that's what I heard mate. Army on the streets, police at supermarkets etc..

Gov. being proactive for a change.

Blocking entrance or controlling people? I need to know how much booze I should collect before it's in effect.

Am I the only one that thinks Hearts are being a bit opportunistic here?

They have a good few players on decent money (they gave Naismith a 4 year deal ffs...) and they are in serious threat of relegation.

I am sure they never factored in relegation as a possible outcome when they budgeted for this season.

Their offer of a 50% wage cut or the exit door seems like a win win for them.

And its all coronavirus' fault.....

It does give risk to any newbies to that world. The last thing I'd want in a years time is a hefty tax bill as I had messed up. It's not like I will be out of pocket going umbrella, I will still pay my appropriate taxes and in all honesty the way things are and a likely recession I'd rather be paying my full whack of tax if it helps in the slightest
