Got played a lot as part of the last show's (I work in a theatre) playlist before lockdown. Had to hear that every day.

I have a tendency to listen to 90's music for summer music. I was born in '93, so it harks back to those dusty, easy days for me.

RHCP are a great shout, particularly that song. I'd add Charlie and Hump de Bump to that.

I get the BBQ out and listen to happy music instead of the dreary stuff I usually listen to.

Jimmy Buffet(aptly named) is a favourite for the BBQ.

Unrelated but Good Friday in Germany is messed up. The ruling party, Merkels Christian Democratic Union, go proper authoritarian with Christian nonsense. They eased gathering restrictions for Easter, allowing groups up to 10 for today. And, they do this every year, they ban any film in any cinema that involves dancing, because it's the day Jesus died and dancing is happy. All the clubs are closed. It's a controversial thing, and manifests as a generational divide. Young people, less religious or non-religious are not fans of losing their Friday nights. I have no problem with their sad Jesus deathday, but I draw the line where they try to impose it on other people.

So, I may have spent the day blasting Rock The Casbah.

Summer days are ska and reggae.

Anything by the Slackers, Hepcat, Jackie Mittoo, Operation Ivy, Skankin Pickle, Mustard Plug, The Interrupters, The Skatalites, The Wailers Band...

Or swing. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies or the Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Dancing music!

Agree with this. Loads of good suggestions in this thread but whack this on if the sun puts its hat on again today. The Dexy’s Midnight Runners tune no one ever mentions because of that come of Eileen abomination (that I’m admittedly a sucker for).
