We didn't get in our first two targets so got our third. That's considered being prepared.

Yea and I remember them putting that player in self isolation for 2 weeks despite showing no symptoms and getting roundly criticised for doing it. United were definitely ahead of the curve. Liverpool fans on the other hand are desperate for football to resume

An article designed to sucker in United fans, Embarrassing ass licking. There's absolutely no substance in the article. Many other clubs didn't try to furlough staff and their players have conducted themselves and made donations etc

You could easily replace the name Manchester United with another name in this article.

"Premier League clubs have watched on with interest..."

"It has also been noted..."

Seriously which journalist is responsible for this crock of shoiite? Oh wait, its Rob Dawson. ESPN correspondent for Manchester United and City but judging from his twitter he doesn't know if City even exist.

But in the spirit of togetherness I will still give the article 5

The guy above seems angry that Utd have done good things during this. Really, really odd.

I mean I get the club he supports tried to sponge money off a Tory government and taxpayers during a national crisis but there’s no need to get angry about other clubs doing good work.

“Rashford, meanwhile, has raised £100,000 which will help feed 400,000 schoolchildren. “

Meanwhile a 99 year old man has raised £20 million and counting by wandering around his garden.

Also that Rashford figure can’t be right. He’s raised enough so that each kid can have a 25p dinner? Wood-di-do!

All United did was wait to see what other clubs did (e.g. furloughing staff) and then waited for a public reaction and then acted accordingly.

No praise from me. Football can do one. Collectively they’ve embarrassed themselves.

The teams you can't is Liverpool, Spurs, Bournemouth, and now Arsenal (who have asked players to take a wage cut).

Do you think a 22 year old man would be able to raise £20million by wandering around in his garden?

Talk about green-eyed. Read a post saying something good about United on the United board. And feel obliged to write a lengthy response saying it didn't amount to much.
I mean, why bother?

Im hlad to see United players helping out. I'm in about the article itself and I'm just stating the truth. There is nothing behind the article. The media in general is in such a state. Don't be blinded because its about your club because that's the aim. It's poor journalism. They've succeeded in getting lots of hits and now its advertised on a forum when its origin is probably the mind of the writer.

I've not read the article, not interested. Just turned the phone on to catch up

But seriously why bother,? Jealousy? To wind some United fans up. To upset the OP who is quite proud of the club?
I'm OK with them too, normally we are the meanest club around, even after Munich, too me a while to get over that. But for once we've been OK, nothing wrong in being pleased.
Have you posted similar when someone writes something good a out Liverpool? Ever?

posted on 18/4/20

Why not bother? People on here preach about how sheet the media is all the time but one ass licking article with no real basis is all it takes to hypnotise the masses and have them generating ad revenue like there's no tomorrow.

This same guy was telling us all that Utd players donating 30% of wages to the NHS was just them looking to jump the gun for publicity before other clubs followed suit.

Yet other clubs players are still arguing over cuts

Don't you? Isn't that what you do. Or are different, special, not taken in like the masses, the lone sane voice.

So cough up two or three posts that are similar except Liverpool has been praised.

I might do it sometimes too, usually one is unaware until it's pointed out.

There's no need for me to trawl the pages looking for stuff. The article is clearly of the nature I described, no article can disprove that.
