TMQ. antibiotic finished on Friday. Painkillers on Thursday, knee is swollen but foot is ok now. Only drinking at weekends now so reduced my alcohol intake by about 120 units per week. Read a few medical papers on kidney stones and citric acid works on uric acid stones (gout) 15 percent frequency and also calcium oxalate stones. So I'm now drinking diet lemonade and have ordered 500g of citric acid food grade to have a drink in morning and evening. The pain In my kidneys isn't unbearable but I can feel the hard lumps in my kidneys and getting sharp pains in my flanks when I sleep on my sides. Hopefully I'll be on the mend soon. Planning a small bike ride on Wednesday.

F@ck sake Admin take care. Well done for reducing your intake!

This lockdown has thrown me out of routine and despite my previous drinking activities being pretty poor, my body had clearly adapted. So something post lockdown has knocked me off my stride. But it was probably for the best. That said feeling crispy lumps in your side is a bit irritating. When this blows over I might see about visiting the doctors. My last three visits were 2001(shearing/degloving injury on foot), 2009(swine flu lung bleeding) and 2012(ulcer and abnormal liver function).

Your acute self awareness is an asset.

Primary Health Care is to all intents & purposes on hold anyway.

A few of my auld mates 'on rations' really like the low/non alc options

which are an obvious improvement on Becks Blue<boak>

Take care lads offski been up since 03.30 yawn.

Night. I was drinking low alcohol beer in recent weeks but the yeast is still a trigger for gout. Hopefully the lemonade might get me sorted before it gets worse.

Yes sounds like a visit after all that time might help sort a few things out. If you’re able to reduce your intake like that sounds like you’re making the right choices but hope you’re on the mend mate.

Probably best if you had drunk them to empty first of all

RE OP, Millionaire shortbread would be our term for the sugary delight. Chocolate chip cookies are eassy and tasty to make with young ones

At least you’re getting it lifted. They are restarting here but the instructions are so complicated every cant is just putting all their b8ns out and see what happens. Get your self a can crusher. Take up 20% of the space and don’t play the jingle of shame when being emptied.

Five beers in five weeks!?!?!

I think there's only been one day in the last 6 weeks where I've not had at least one drink

Getting self-raising flour has been challenging.

If you have a football pump with a small enough adapter, you can aerate the bread every fifteen minutes or so as it bakes and it will rise just the same as if you had used self-raising flour. My missus is a big baker and has been making loads (and eating loads) of 'football bread'.

Until I caught her on the half-volley and launched her down the stair anyway.

Why?

Does it float away out of your reach?

Too expensive now.

That's inflation for you.

Some places run out of sugar now too.

Yep

It's amazing what shutting down the entire manufacturing and distribution industries in an entire country will do.

And many think it will just pick back up when Boris and wee Nic give an amber light to maybe starting some things back up provided they all pay for infrastructure and retraining of their staff.

Clueless fwckers.

Latest estimates are that the economy won't be back until 2023 at the earliest and that even this time frame extends exponentially.

Who'da thunk it?
