Bergkamp gol four Netherlands against Argentina in 1998.
Nothing special about it at all.

Maradona's goal against England.
-----------------------------------------
Give over one of the greatest goals of all time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There have been plenty that are just as good, if not better
That Bergkamp goal where he flicks the ball around the defender and people orgazzzm and say it was the most beautiful thing in football ever.
It was a clever little trick but it was nowhere near as elegant and genius as people say.

Rose's goal against Arsenal is great for the moment but it's mainly down to poor keeping.
Torres's goal against Barcelona was nowhere near worth Gary Neville orggasming over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My issue with the Torres goal is when it overshadows the Ramires goal in the context of the match. But tbf no one thinks the Torres goal is impressive it's just a moment
Aguero’s back post tap in
I'm not overly enchanted with Essiens goal against Arsenal because Cole does commit an obvious foul in the build up

I know, but even as a moment the game was pretty much already won yet it seems to be the defining moment of that game for some reason.

Yeah I agree with Kash re: the Maradona vs England goal. When I first watched it I was and still am impressed by it.

Exactly he also got fouled before he took on Shilton but still found a small gap to passed him and finish before falling.

Really?
That Bale goal against Barcelona when he goes on a run from the half way line. I mean a good goal, but he only beat 1 defender who did a poor job of defending, and Bale was even afforded a rather poor touch on the way.

The Torres goal ended the game for good. Before that point had they scored they would have gone through.
I’m surprised people have mentioned the Bergkamp goal vs Newcastle.
If it was completely planned and deliberate then it was a moment of genius
If it was part or completely improvised, then again it was genius to do hat just off the cuff
For me I think the Ronaldinho goal vs Chelsea comes to mind. Cheeky yes but Carvalho (rightly or wrongly) just stands in front of him and he just boots it in. I doubt Paul Dikov would have received the same adulation for the same goal
Pappis Cisse goal against Chelsea too. Looks amazing but pure fluke
Rose's goal against Arsenal is great for the moment but it's mainly down to poor keeping.

Yeah rare to see a long range shot like that go in via the centre of the goal. Still, what a moment for young Danny in a NLD

When you watched the game through your fingers, as Barca threw a kitchen sink at a makeshift defence - with no actual cb left on the pitch - you can understand why the emotions came out over that

Nah I rate it. Bartra tries shoving him off the pitch completely which tbf would have worked 99% of the time. Bale has the strength to stay on his feet and despite being pushed a good 10-15 yards off the pitch he manages to still have the acceleration/recovery and speed to beat Bartra to next touch

Sure. Dalian Atkinson scored one that is as good. Messi has several that are better. You can find dozens of examples on youtube.
It's just that Maradona's goal came at a time when there were relatively few games on television and that it came against England so it stuck in people's memories.
