Pochettino to Newcastle

Will be interesting to see the prem reveal the findings of the fit and proper test the owners need to secure the deal.

If they pass that then Newcastle will have to break FFP to make the leapfrog. You could fine them but that wouldn't really make a difference so the other alternative is to dock points which would have an impact in their league position.

I read somewhere that under current ffp restrictions they are only allowed to go £26m in debt...

Imo he should be joining a top club that's ready to win the big titles next.

If he does take charge of Newcastle though no doubt they will be above us within a couple of years.

We're pretty much finished as a top 4 club for the foreseeable future

Aren’t FFP rules being relaxed after the shutdown?

I have not read anything to suggest this will happen.

Of he gets funds karma could come faster than anyone imagined. It's mad how saying Jose is bad seems like a crime to some spurs fans, when the world can see the football has never been so bad and clueless.

Potchs brand of football is very good. With actual investment I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle rocketed up the league. Covid. Weak transfer market. Billionaire owner possibly.

It's like most spurs fans already know that unfortunately with spurs on their current trajectory chasing profit, it'd be a case of when not if they overtake spurs.

George's have fanatical support so Tbh they kinda deserve some good news after Ashley for all these years

Debatable point. They are miles of us, Wolves and Sheff Utd at the moment. It took Poch 2 odd years to be challenging for top 4 and they would attract alot of mercenaries. Poch best signinga for us were the low transfers fees paid for Dele, Dier, Trips, Son, Wanyama( for a season or two) and Toby.

It’s unlikely but wouldn’t it be hilarious if Newcastle went down this season?

They are currently 6 points off after 29 games. That's 2 wins off which is next to nothing to build a squad to overtake Spurs

Especially if their owner decided to buy Koulibaly and countinho, just examples, for crazy wages.
Others would follow fast.

Wasn't long ago people laughed at City. Then robinho and others joined. The wealth the guy has is crazy. If city could dope their figures then I'm sure this guy can fins a way too

Don, you wanted Poch sacked so why would you be bothered if he went to Newcastle, that is like the bloke who ditches his girlfriend and is then jealous when she gets together with another bloke.

What is the difference with our owners holding us back with Poch in charge or Mourinho, you were delighted we sacked Poch and replaced him with Mourinho, and yet are blaming ENIC for being our problem.

This is why it is so important for City to have their punishment up held. They need to be made an example of to stop these funkers cheating.

*When I said Newcastle were miles off I meant in terms of their squad. Not many of their players would get into the Top 8 teams above them.

I think they'd be buying the odd player or 2 before next season starts though, that is the point.

The Saudi's should not pass the fit and proper test. if they do it will be an absolute travesty.

If they have a similar wealth to the owners of City then it's only a matter of time before they overtake us, just as City have done.

Selling out to a despicable misogynistic, homophobic regime who chop up journalists who don't agree with their appalling human rights record just to "win trophies". It will be a dark day if he sells out but it could happen I suppose. I certainly would not want them running Spurs not even for a Carling Cup
States should be banned from buying PL clubs imo.

There are few facktatds on the utd board that would have welcomed them with opened arms too. Twaaats. Most were not happy with the idea of a Saudi takeover thankfully

Then they'll be taking a top 4 spot from someone within 5 years, if the deal goes ahead. As we know, money talks in this league.

Yeah it's hard to be critical of Newcastle potential new owners and ignore the fact City's owners are already here. They have trampled over human rights with little remorse. We cannot have allow city to have their owners and ban Newcastle.

Personally I wouldn't have welcomed either but if city's owners are deemed acceptable I guess you have to accept Newcastle can be owned by people with similar ethics.
