Agree completely on point 3. Have never understood the mentality of working yourself into the ground or an early grave.
Why? If you keel over tomorrow there are thousands on the live register that will take your place.
IBS my sympathies I have ulcerative colitis. Have had so for 7 years now.
On the Yoga point could you share what you are doing as I have never done it before and wouldn't mind trying?
As soon as life is back to normal work will say "can you do this" and then it will multiply and before you know you will be working late and even weekends. That sheet will never change.

There's a really good 20 min introduction video on youtube and she's hot too.
I've seen grown men cry with your condition in hospital, you have my sympathies. Give yoga a go as pain management. Meditation releases endorphines.

Cheers hoody. I am quite lucky as have only had 2 major incidents.
1. When I was initially diagnosed in 2013
2. It went nuts in 2017 and put me down for a month. Other than that the medication I take daily seems to work for me thankfully. €117.00 a month mind.
The worst thing is the drugs needed when it does flare dont really agree with me so makes it harder. Also if it flares at the moment the medication to treat it is an immuno suppressant which would make me more at risk from the virus.
Ill check out the Youtube vid cheers

Also if your workload is too heavy one should speak with their employer, fook that.

There are vatious homeopathic remedies. I'm not saying quite the medication but I am going down the route of things like ginger, garlic, dandelions, certain myshrooms like charga (that sh!t is magic, try it) and even nettles.
Might be worth a look mate.
Ill take a look but as I said I am quite lucky with the condition. Other poor cants have a flare up every other month.

Weekends are a no for me unless they pay me well for it.
I work from home so don't mind finishing late on Mon to Thurs. Pre lockdown still managed to play 5 a side, take kids to activities and gym.
1. Inexpensive gin can be as good, if not better, than expensive gin.
2. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds like to dance in their videos.
3. Football isn't as important to me as if once was.

I have become quite the expert at pouring a pint of Guinness from a can of draught.
Boring I know but I drink nothing else unless abroad when I tend to drink the local plop.
Although boring diets are a good thing with UC.

Nothing beats a proper pint of Guinness, however the cans of draught are decent compared to the other cans which is basically dishwater.
I tend to get the bottles weirdly.
Tbh there are around 37 drinks I'll go for before guiness. My vrother loves it though and it is full of iron.
