Easy for him to say when he's got millions in the bank and would be OK if he never worked again in his life, just chilling in his expensive house on his expensive couch or whatever while other people risk covid and deliver his food for a pittance so he can stay safe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you going on about?
He isn't saying others have to work, is he?
He's saying he shouldn't be forced to if it's not safe and that 'boosting the nation's morale' should be irrelevant to the decision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course he shouldn’t be forced to. He can then give up his 80k a week wage then. He don’t feel safe to work, no problem. He can stay at home and forfeit his wages. Some of us don’t have that option and also don’t have millions in the bank like Danny Rose does.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He hasn't refused to work and the government haven't cleared it as safe, so this is not relevant.

No, I'm asking what you're basing that opinion on.
It appears you're basing it on absolutely nothing, which isn't surprising, as it makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Danny Rose will be played 80k a week to FP his job in what could be the safest environment in England.
By the time football returns most people will be back at work enduring far greater risk than Rose ever will.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed we expect shop, postal, transport workers etc to carry on working throughout the crisis.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do posties run around tackling each other before they leave the delivery office?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They visit multiple locations through the day passing multiple people and sort their post before they start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So walking down the street maintaining a safe distance is the same as playing a football match?
Okay.

As far as covid is concerned, you can compare the levels of exposure across different jobs.
After being tested for 3 weeks and kept in controlled environments, football players will be under far less exposure on the pitch than a postman working a 9-5 shift.
With respect, I suspect you wont understand why this would be the case. Its a science thing.

You've not shared any kind of opinion or said anything that might foster debate. It seems to me you've come in combative and spoiling for a fight.
Nothing in your posts or posting style suggests that you are interested in a proper debate and thus I have no need to engage you with evidence.
Fully agree with Rose. Football isn't essential and there are still so many cases and deaths each day.
What someone earns is irrelevant. Given how dangerous and prevalent the virus is there would be a genuine risk of a player/staff member getting seriously ill or even dying unnecessarily if football is brought back too early.

I asked if you have any evidence. You don't have any.
Which means the statement you made is completely made up and not based on any logic.
Hope this helps.

Actually I have evidence but you have to earn the right when you jump in a thread like this.
You've not shared any kind of opinion or said anything that might foster debate. It seems to me you've come in combative and spoiling for a fight.
Nothing in your posts or posting style suggests that you are interested in a proper debate and thus I have no need to engage you with evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's perfectly reasonable to ask what a statement like yours is based on.
Hope this helps.

Oh and Thor, comparable means they're similar - not that they can't be compared and determined to be totally different.

I never said comparable doesn't mean they're similar - or that they can't be compared and determined to be totally different.

Then why did you say this:
"As far as covid is concerned, you can compare the levels of exposure across different jobs"
------------------------------------------------
Maybe its because I wanted to and its a factually sound statement. Why do you think I said it?
