City above United and LFC when you class history as a factor???

posted on 15/5/20

is it the only factor i listed?

If you look back at say the last 10 years you could argue Chelsea have to be above City...

3 European trophies
3 leagues
Multiple domestic cups

Interesting list.
When I say interesting, I mean it’s a load of rubbish.
Oh well carry on.

Yes mate and I would say Chelsea are too. More history in the last 20 years, all of them...

Only 2 clubs matter...the rest are playing catch-up.

But City are the most successful team currently with one of the all time great managers who is loved by almost everyone, they have iconic players like Aguero, De Bruyne and Sterling, more money than anyone else and more ambition than anyone else. They're one of most powerful clubs in the world and the most powerful in England in my opinion.

But they're not a bigger club than Chelsea, LFC, Arsenal or United mate. You say they have more ambition than anyone else. That's not something you can prove and also isn't something they are showing on the pitch this season. They've surrendered their title to Liverpool by an absolute landslide and are yet to win in Europe. It's all well and good saying they're ambitious but they need to deliver.

The biggest club in the country is man utd. always has been near enough. globally just huge.

posted on 15/5/20

Look at what they've done the last 4 years years. Spent more money than anyone, signed Guardiola and won almost every domestic trophy in that period

they are definitely the most ambitious club in England.

The most ambitious or the most well funded? I am sure teams like Brighton have the same level of ambition to do all of that, but they don't have the funds to. If you think City are a bigger club than those I mentioned then you're just daft.

1. utd
2. pool
3. probably chelsea. as harsh as that is to probably arsenal but they just havent had any impact really the last 10/15 years.

You're living in the 90s I think. City are huge globally now. They can sign any player in the world they want. Ask Barcelona or Bayern Munich which English team they're the most scared of. It won't be Arsenal, Man Utd or Liverpool. It will be City.

From all reports ive read over the years city are not as huge globally as a lot of clubs

I don't care what fans think, I'm talking about people in football. Players, managers, agents, the people that run clubs.

You mean people who take money from the game?

It's funny how insecure people are about man city. They're the most well run and successful club in England currently. They've long surpassed everyone, including United.

You make an article saying about the biggest clubs in the world, make a point to say how big they are gloablly then say you dont care what fans think...seems odd.

By your measurements, newcastle are the biggest team in the world

Well yes, the weight of your opinion is largely affected by how much money/influence you have.

1. City

Yet they're 25 points behind in the title race and since being so well run and funded haven't got near a UCL trophy. Get real.
