However, we have a weather warning today for string winds, after weeks of sunshine lol

Mr Hancock revealed data that showed around one in six people in London and one in 20 elsewhere in England had already had the coronavirus.
Information gathered from an antibody surveillance study led by the Office for National Statistics suggested 17 per cent of people in London, around 1.5 million, and around 5% in England, some 2.8m people, had tested positive for antibodies to coronavirus.
Mind playing tricks?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's talking sheeeite btw.. according to the figures I've been told at work.
The 1 in 20 hasn't even come close to being met.. more manipulation of figures.
I know I've generally been a tad pessimistic about our response of late, but it's because info has been limited.. and 1 in 20 is a fvcking fantasy.
I don't know what he's smoking, or what he thinks we're smoking but going by the testing figures and recent models.. there isn't a hope in hell 1 in 20 people have had it unless it was a weaker, earlier strain.. which wouldn't have travelled so far and wide.
Something doesn't add up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eh?
Based on what Juke?
Your own thoughts or a real sample test? Or is it that no matter what anyone from this government says you’ll just flatly disbelieve it on nothing more than a prejudice?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Based on the general scientific consensus available.
Westminster cherry picking the science they want to listen to yet again.. as they did (or didn't when it wasn't what they wanted to hear) do at the start of this pandemic.
And 8 weeks before my jollibags and as airlines prepare to start up over Europe again some smart rse decides we schools make travellers self isolate from today when it should have been one of the first things done.
I sometimes despair at our government I really do and I say that as an out and out Tory.

This govt has been poor, mate.
Ryanair cancelled out flight to Lanzo in July, so now just have to fight them for a refund. We were not going to go after all the misery here and Spain, plus the idea of being on a plane is insane these days.
Self isolating for 2 weeks either side was a final straw and I feel for your lot having to go through 14 more days isolation.
And on schools going back, NI is not until August and I presume Scotland will follow suit.
You guys stop classes in June right, like us...England waits until mid July.

Making schools compliant for social distancing measures is going to be a total ballache, but it'll keep me busy over the summer so can't complain really.
You have to wonder what the quality of education will be when kids can't properly socialise, only a third of pupils (about 6-9 per class) awhile the rest dial in.. how do teachers manage/control that?
Also the issue that teachers might have to self isolate anytime they've been in contact with a positive case of Covid.
The amount of our schools that are in 19th century buildings with narrow corridors and small rooms.

They need to get the schools back mate. Has to be a priority.
But, like you say, so many issues with it.
Another one is that there's a fair number hearing retirement and looking after elderly relatives. Many are rightly worried about contact with dozens/hundreds of kids a day.
We won't be rid of this thing for years, if ever IMO.

We’re talking about the intelligentsia here. You know? Those who are me at to be educating the next generations. The ones who are capable of problem solving and now effective management.
And they can’t (or won’t) use all this brainpower to work out how to run schools with a third of the normal intake?

Aye I know schools need to return in some capacity but it's the lack of planning that's a concern.
They expect schools to be ready within a couple of months but atm it feels like they're winging it.
No inclination of who is going to pay for all of these works or how, both now and in the future when they are removed.
It's this confusion that will inevitably cost more lives.

Hang on. You're a what?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry
I should have told you before we became so involved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ging.
This reminds me of first Christmas day at mum in laws, when I was asked what was I doing for Boxing day.
"Going to see Linfield play Glentoran"....fooking tumbleweed.
Can just see you at a dinner party in London, announcing you Tory and leaver credentials, as Jeremy and Dianne fall off their chairs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
They need to get the schools back mate. Has to be a priority.
But, like you say, so many issues with it.
Another one is that there's a fair number hearing retirement and looking after elderly relatives. Many are rightly worried about contact with dozens/hundreds of kids a day.
We won't be rid of this thing for years, if ever IMO.

Hang on
We’re talking about the intelligentsia here. You know? Those who are me at to be educating the next generations. The ones who are capable of problem solving and now effective management.
And they can’t (or won’t) use all this brainpower to work out how to run schools with a third of the normal intake?
Give me peace ffs.
