As has been mentioned on another article; he needs to put on some beef and be played wide right - not through the middle. Still - from what I have seen, he is a flair player who knows where the onion bag is.
Not sure the hustle and bustle of the SPFL is the ideal league for him to show what he really can do though - seems to be a player who likes a bit of time on the ball.
TBH - I would prefer we spent the money on an experienced midfield with an eye for an incisive pass.
3 million instead of 4-5 seems more reasonable.
That said I don't think he's going to make a massive difference based on what I saw of him.
Talented player and a decent fee.
A bit wasted in that role that Gerrard was pigeon holing him into, so needs a change of system to get the best out of him.
Should be behind the main striker with two actual widemen (so theoretically should also get the best out of Kent) but that requires the midfield 2 to be good as well, and I'm not sure we have two in midfield that are up to the job.
Pleased with it though.

If he's played wide right forget him doing anything.
Utter schite on the wing.
I think he’d be best suited just off the striker. Two good feet, can score and set up chances.
Decent deal imo
He's a no10.
He plays there or not at all imo. I do think 3m is slightly steep but if he can improve his physicality and kick on he could be worth a lot of money. His attitude has been excellent so that gives me hope he can.
Being reported he has agreed to sign for £3m to be paid over three years.
=============================
Decent bit of business that.
I think he will be a decent player to add to the squad. We need a few more players of higher Technical quality like Hagi.
£3m is not a lot these days.
Really needs to be used in the right way though.
The Berahino one is interesting. Spurs were after him around the £25m Mark I think it was.
Then couldn’t score to save his life at Stoke.
Deffo a player in there but would need to question his attitude and desire.
Pfff he's the Rangers Stephane Bonnes
Berahinio is finished, he's scored 5 goals in 5 years
Surely berahino isnae still playing

indeed if you dont include the 8 in 22 games he scored last season.
Lost his way, courts trouble, questionable attitude.
But he has ability and may just have refound this.
A very risky signing should it happen.
Feels a bit Joey Barton
Having said that, others have turned it around. Would certainly be worried should it happen
Glen Johnson's interview about him was brutal. He replied fairly maturely though

13 in 5 years, 5 year deal sort of stuff
Wiki doesn't appear to have 19/20 season stats for some reason.
Good deal for hagi I would say although I do think signing people just now is a bit mad as who knows what will happen with transfer values when we resume
"Wiki doesn't appear to have 19/20 season stats for some reason."
Its in the summary section at the top, but its not in the career statistics for some reason.

If it is £3m it looks a decent deal and it looks like we have used the current situation to renegotiate.
If it is the 5m euro initially quoted it doesn't look that brilliant.
Berahino is an interesting one. There is no doubt he was a player when he started out. Of course his time at Stoke was a massive flop but if he has grown up a bit and found a bit of desire again then you never know.
Personally I am not sure I would want to be gambling on the likes of Berahino next season. Seems way too risky.

well if wiki doesnt mention it
Sounds like he had a very good season last year 8 in 22.
Zulte coach Francky Dury said Berahino has been a model player since his arrival as he praised his conduct.
"I have nothing bad to say about his attitude," he said. "From my first contact with the player, it was love at first sight."
Always risky and he may as you said be finished but lest see.

Would say 8 in 22 is ok, good at a push but nowhere near very good.
Always looked a player in his early days but seen him a few times for Stoke and he was hopeless.
He was banished to their U23's a few times too.
Would say 8 in 22 is ok, good at a push but nowhere near very good.

A record fee was paid for a player who scored 11 in 29.
I thought that a very good return.
And nowhere near finished
He did even better in the following season.
