Once the game couldn’t be played (decided by the government) then the tv money was repayable.
Keeping the league “open” albeit without games but awarding prize money on any basis wouldn’t change that.

Of course the vote was handled badly but it’s worth noting the majority did vote to end it.

The first option (and the one which should have been pushed by Doncaster) should’ve been to postpone the games, pay our prize money based on lowest position possible and see rise out lockdown.
Lockdown duration was predicted at that time.
Option 2 should have been to call it as we did.
Choosing option 1 whilst leaving the back stop of option 2 would have avoided all of this.

I don't think they are due any compensation, the league was decided and prizes handed out relegation issued as you would expect.

It's not really relevant, but that's a fantastic username.
I can fully understand the govan staunch stand on an asterisk on the 9th title in a row. It is to signify that a 'no surrender' policy was turned into a 'surrender' policy to finish the league they could not have won. I applaud them for recognising the fact that they knew it and it should be in the history books as the day they surrendered to the best team in Scotland. After all they have to let their team tale to the pitch every game showing the five tainted titles they won by cheating by showing it to the world with five asterisks above their badge. I applaud their honesty.
And that is why you never drink with window lickers.

I liked NNH's comment implying a game against Rangers might help Hearts but given the positions that wouldn't be possible
I think it was quite clear any league choosing to play on was largely influenced by contract obligations linking to payments and little more. Decisions were about finance in every case.
Council it was all financial. The ones that are finishing are doing so are by in large doing so because they're big enough to absorb the hit and it would be bigger to not resume.
We might have been able to resume but we'd probably be stuck in the courts on teams not wanting to do that too.
