I happened to read this thread before any comment was posted and as I was only after a break and on the road I wanted to see how it evolved and fair play to all the posters from all clubs I never expected so much compassion, just shows that despite there being a rare chance our paths will ever cross unless aligned to the same team shows that we can strip back some of the nastiness shown and reach out to another human and an anonymous person.
I'm not going to lie, when I read the OP, a shiver went up my spine and seriously didn't comment as I thought I might get grief for saying that reading between the lines this man was really at rock bottom.
Having followed the thread my worry has increased when Scunner has not acknowledged I believe to it.
So please if you are reading mate, you have our ear but please be a fella and let us know at least that you've been following it.
Please....🙏

As mentioned, speaking to your GP is a great option. They can offer a medication route or a route where you speak to someone privately and try to talk things through.
Takes some balls to open up about these things, credit to you.
Exercising daily is a great boost as well.

Thanks

Nice post Igor it’s good to know that the JA community can come together and support posters in need of that support
Good bless the OP I hope you’re doing ok.
I cant bother my wife about it. She has her own pressures and worries.

I’ve been in a very similar situation a couple of years ago. Best advice I can give is talk to your wife and also gp. Not ashamed to say I’m on anti depressants and am doing so much better now. Good luck.

I’ll echo what he said about exercising, I think it’s hugely beneficial into the way you feel. even if small steps it can make a huge difference to your outlook.
Sometimes when I feel like everything is on top of me, it’s a great leveller, I come back and I feel like sone of the weight had been lifted off and I start seeing things with a new angle.
I think it’s all about how hard you go, a decent, get a sweat on workout or run, has better effects than if you take it easy. But it takes a little bit to get to that if you don’t already exercise (from not having fun since a kid, and smoked a lot, I gave up and started running, a month of small steps I was up to 5k, so takes a little while, but damn, it’s worth it)
It’s really good for general well being and mental health.
All the best man, I hope you feel better about things.

Not much to add beyond what others have said. Definitely better to speak out than bottle things up, especially to your partner, knowing you have someone alongside you can make all the difference on the lowest days.
It's a shatty time altogether right now but keep on keeping on and things will definitely get better soon enough. Get outside and enjoy the gifts we have been given in the natural world, if nothing else it can be a great distraction.
Play sports- great for mental health as well. Time to spend time outside home and have natural life style like waking early , doing as laborous stuff as possible, spending time with family.

Hope you are feeling better and Mon Leeds tonight, mate.

I can think of a 900 post thread which I referred to fieldsofanfield as Faanny the whole time winding him up on a number of things, he gave it back too, and Winston turned up with a brand of pedantry that would put anything you think you’ve done to shame
And then it’s all forgotten about, a new day, everyone moves on. So never beat yourself up about things like that.
