Grealish

The fear would be that, with villa staying up, his asking price has stayed at £60-80m, rather than falling to where it should really be (£30-40m).

We do need cover, and additional attacking quality, but I'm not sure we can afford to blow half of our summer budget on a squad member.

Still, I have seen certain people claim to have inside knowledge that this deal is already done - and if it were a done deal, presumably that would have been at a broadly sensible price, or maybe with some of our deadwood going their way.

Cant see A us paying what they want for a squad player and B, him leaving Villa to be a squad player at United.

Could see him at Everton

I can’t see Grealish leaving Villa tbh. Club captain, clearly cares about the club and where’s the fit for him? Back up to Bruno at Utd? Chelsea have a lot of young attacking midfielders and reports suggest they’re focused on Havertz. City have Foden to step up into Silva’s role. Not sure he fits into our midfield and isn’t displacing our front 3. Spurs have Mourinho, Arsenal are all over the place.

Not sure there’s a natural move for him.

Grealish will be overpriced because of what he is for Villa. I still think United should get him, he's better than Pogba and would still cost a lot less.

Watching Villa this season. Actually you could do with a striker who could actually score. Lingaard could be what you’re missing. But, you’d want Ed to subsidise for his wages, because you can’t afford his £150k per week wages !!!

Is that how much he is on! He will never leave Utd then

So 60-80 million for someone to start 25 games across all comps... While income and profits are significantly down due to the pandemic?

He might not move but he'd be mad not to sign for United if he has the option. He'll play plenty of games, off the bench or starting, and will be playing in the CL. He'll have at least more chance of competing for trophies than if he stays at Villa.

Villa would surely be interested in a couple of our players too if it meant sweetening the deal.

Bruno and Rashford have both suffered this season because we have been over reliant on them as no one else can fill in for them.

Grealish would be quality back up/competition to both. No brainer for me.

That is because you don’t have a brain. Do you think Grealish would want to go to a club where he isn’t going to be a starter? He is going to be too expensive for a back up.

It'd be heartbreaking to see Jack leave but nobody would begrudge him a move. He needs better players around him and it'll take time for us to get there.

That being said offering us Lingaard in any deal is a deal breaker. He's complete gash. Total and utter tripe. He's not even good enough for a top 6 Championship side.

Lingaard😂🤣🤢🤮
