He's a quality player in my opinion
He's awesome.
Will definitely improve Arsenal.

Very good player despite age, only thing is its an area arsenal are already pretty strong, if they address the other areas then they'd of had a very good window snd assembled a much improved squad
Contract length is more concerning than the wages

Reckon it's a 2+1.
Everybody thought Luiz had a 2 yr deal but it was a 1+1.

Couldn't pay 55 staff but can afford to pay these fees. Feckin disgrace to be honest and Arsenal should be shamed.

Can afford to pay those staff, but their role was redundant.

I disagree mate, if there's one thing we lack right now, it's players who can operate in half spaces and drive at defences. He carries the ball very well. Right now, we don't really have many players who've showed they can do that.
I'm not his biggest fan, but he does offer a different dimension to our play.
Pretty sure those redundancies were mostly in hospitality and such so yeah, literally redundant.
Willian is probably their best midfielder, I think it's a decent signing of a top pro.
Wasn't happy with talking rubbish on my article OP?
Isn't it 120k a week and there was no transfer fee. No massive loss at all if arsenal get top 4 next year
Mourinho is on nearly 300k a week by the way

fair enough
Like I say though if you get a couple of defenders and centre mids in as well as him, you'll be laughing.
Obviously wish spurs had signed Willian when we looked close to getting him but he made the right move in the end
Did you even read the article, morespurs?
"Arsenal have pulled out all the stops to get their man, handing Willian a lucrative package worth up to £220,000 per week"
Key words being 'up to'.
There'll be bonuses and clauses for meeting certain conditions e.g. CL qualification, number of appearances etc, but as it stands, most reliable outlets are saying £100k a week.
So I'd rather trust them than you

"When bonuses, a signing-on fee and loyalty payments over the three years are included"
Basically if we and Willian hit all targets then he will average the £220k a week. But he will have earnt it, as 3 titles, 2 CL and all the rest would be brilliant.
Doesn't matter how much it is to me, over £100k a week for a 32 year old is a bizarre decision - just doesn't seem to fit with Arteta's recent changes.

The money thing yes ok, but look at the title again.
He is 32 years old and has been offered 3 years deal at this rate which combined comes to £220k a week?
That means when he is 33/34 he'll be the most expensive pensioner/footballer!
My point is they have struggled with one player who is on £330 a week, and they get another one who is whatever you say not in his prime and give him a 3 years contract?
