We need to isolate Mings with Barnes or Vardy which won’t happen if they are compact and sat in like West Ham did.

If you recall we did rather struggle after we demolished Southampton 0-9, we had four nailed on first team players out and I'm hoping we have some of them back after the break although someone did say to me that Ricardo broke down in training although he isn't that reliable source

The way this season is going at the moment is so bonkers that it will be impossible to predict what will happen in any team's next match based on the most recent results of teams- except for Forest of course, who will keep on losing.
Seems there's a fair chance that Nigel Pearson could end up at Forest within the week.
I don't pay to much attention to previous scores, especially high scoring games. But form is a good indicator, i.e. if a team is consistently having good or bad results, this is a better indication as to how a next game might go. So, against Villa, a high scoring 0-0 draw.
I'm certainly happy that there's an international break between these two games. They say you always want a win before a break, but the opposite may be more effective because it hones the mind and gives you time to avoid getting into a rut.

That's a pity, they will probably start to do well now that they have a decent manager.
Chris Hughton will be acceptable to JG. He was always an admirer. I mean, he's no Paul Clement but he's good.

End of next season at the earliest, and that's likely very optimistic given the sheer number of signings that need to be turned into a team and simply aren't at the moment. If I was to put together a timeline, it'd be one year to gel and stay up, one year to fail and learn, then the next year make the step up and reach for the promised land. Will any manager be given 3 years at Forest without promotion?

13 managers in 9 years would suggest he'll be lucky to get the rest of this season, let alone 2 more. Personally, even though it's Forest, I hope he does well, I've always rather liked him. He's certainly got a decent record in the Championship.

My thoughts were that this is a meritorious appointment, rather than one forced by some arbitrary rule - but would still please those who like to measure certain quotas.
