When John Gregory’s team lost 3-0 that was the end. A spineless defeat like would surely do the same for Cocu. Even a spirited defeat would still have plenty baying for Dutch blood. But a win, any old how, could be a sliding doors moment that we look back on as the start of the good times. Sometimes these things come down to luck at crucial moments and Cocu is surely due a whole load of that if, as is often claimed, these things even themselves out. Do they f**k.

Don't think tomorrow will be a happy day. Two teams for whom scoring is equivalent of producing the great unifying theory of the universe.
