One good season in his entire Arsenal career.

End of discussion.

Again, he IS our worst ever signing if you factor in total expenditure vs output.

Can't believe how many fans are missing the bigger picture here.

Kami is on the right lines though.

There is massive disharmony in our squad right now, Ozil who was rightly dropped for footballing reasons (and being arguably our worst ever signing if you stack up his output vs total expenditure) who was surely been told he can leave the club has been stirring things up in the background against Arteta. Along with other players who we tried to shift on this Summer and failed to or have told they have no long-term future at the club and won't be receiving new contracts like Xhaka and Kolasinac.

Then suddenly Arteta turns to these players due to injuries et al and they let him down, what a surprise.

Arteta has the brains to be a great manager but right now he is lacking the balls. He's started the job, now he has to see it through. It's a big risk to go with youth but the players causing the toxicity and undermining Arteta behind his back need to be fully excluded from the team and club, tell them we do not wish for them to honour the part of the contract which states they need to come in and train. Our younger players who have been excellent in the Europa League deserve the chance.

Arteta has to get the full dressing room back onside and believing again very fast because if he loses all of the fans too he will be gone like Emery was. The only way to do that is to remove any bad eggs and have the balls to trust your youth for the remainder of the season.

The only part that's annoying me is that we all know they wouldn't do any worse and they would absolutely get better match by match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you believe Ozil was dropped due to footballing reasons, I have a beachfront property to sell you in the Sahara desert.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really interested in talking to the clueless or the blind. But here goes...

One good season in his entire Arsenal career and that was years ago. Ozil is finished, sorry if you have the memory of a goldfish
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why are you so unkind to goldfish? Do you think that you could swim around all day in a bloody glass bowl?

Why should we back him and we weren't backing Emery? He got players he wanted, Emery didn't, his results are worse than Emery's, never have we been this bad, and it's not like problems are only on pitch, they are even bigger outside of pitch and it's his fault. So no, we shouldn't back him anymore.

posted on 14/12/20

What are you talking about? Emery wanted Guendouzi and got him. Emery wanted Torreira and got him. Emery wanted Saliba and got him.

Not really. Sanellhi wanted them.

Pretty sure Emery wanted all of those 3, obviously he didn't last long enough for Saliba to arrive though.

Aside from the manager, I think a big problem is we have too many players in the squad who either know they’re leaving soon, want to go, or at stage of career where they’re not really that bothered anymore and don’t have much connection with the club

Ozil, luiz, mustafi, Willian, lacazette sokratis, chambers, ceballos, Kolasinac could all fall into one of those categories

Then you have likes of holding, Niles, saliba, balogun who have looked to be sold/ loaned and have future up in the air. Then of course there’s guendouzi and Xhaka who just seem bit mental

You can’t have a healthy functioning squad with that much śhît going on. It’s a massive failure from those who run the club that we have unresolved issues with so many of the players, especially as many of them are quite big names who i bet have an influence on rest of the squad

I'll be happy with a new manager bounce at this point. Don't want to be near relegation. The longer this goes the worse its going to get.

Ok...like you have played at any competitive level ha.
We are all armchair fans.

Like I said..watch Ozil at Madrid and look who has has around him. He is not the player to take games by the scruff of the neck and run them. He is very much a reflection of the team. If the team is dross, he will look awful. Surround him with quality and balance and he will do what he does best.

We will see what Arteta does in January.

I have played football all my life from a young age, including playing in Holland at a good level for around 15 years.

I understand football a lot better than you do.

Ozil has been holding us back for years, he has been finished for years. He looked beyond bad when others around him looked fine or good. He's lazy, he sulks and he lets the team down. His offensive output has been so horrendously low for years that it does not make up for his non-existent defensive output.

Whatever he had for his one good season with us, he lost it not long after.

This is the actual worst thing about Arsenal losing. The blind clueless Ozil fangirls come out from behind their rocks.

He wanted Nzonzi because he wanted Nzonzi, not instead of Torreira. He wanted Torreira too by all accounts. He did want Zaha over Pepe but everyone knows that so you're not telling us anything new there. Emery got some of the players he wanted.

I agree with this. However, the manager has dealt with the players in contradictory ways. Guendouzi..a talent but a bit of a diick...dropped and out on loan. Ozil dropped for "footballing reasons". Laca has been dropped at times too...rightly so. But why is Xhaka playing? Why is Auba playing...he has been terrible until maybe yesterday where I saw the energy of project restart. Why is Bellerin playing when arguably Cedric has not put a foot wrong. Why is Mustafi playing but not Sokratis? Why is Saliba not playing? Why is Willian playing?

I would back Arteta if he came out and said..."I don't have the squad to play how I want. The players I will play are the one who i think have a future here". And then..drop Xhaka, Mustafi, Sokratis etc and play players who are hungry or are here long term.

I mean...reports yesterday say he is not on talking terms with Luiz now. So what on earth is happening at the club???

I would accept 15th and back Arteta IF he had a plan. Crosses into the box and continued playing of players in horrible form or not good enough is not a plan I and many others can get behind

No one thought Pepe would be turn out to be as poor as he’s been, on face of it it still was a solution to a problemEmery identified on the wings. A manager can never always be guaranteed to get the exact player they want. So in effect he did get the type of player he wanted

We will have no fans at the Southampton game due to London's Tier being upgraded.

Not sure if that's good because they may add more pressure to the players or bad because we lack any support they may have voiced.

To be fair though the 2000 we had against Burnley were bloody quiet from what I remember.

And I grew up playing in Africa, then London and then the US. I still played Sunday league until covid hit. So gtfo with you claiming your points are fact. It's all opinion. I bet you'd pick a headless chicken who runs around all game flying into tackles and showing GRIT over a player who reads space and the game and can be quiet but devastating. Ozil is not lazy...his stats show that he is consistently one of the players who covers the most ground in a game. Just because he is not crunching into tackles or pressing alone like Sanchez did (and the rest of the team is sleeping) does not make him lazy.

Again...if you don't think he has been hamstrung by the people around him, fine. Then the club should NEVER have resigned him to a new contract and even better..should not have signed him from Madrid at all. But the fact is, he is here. Instead of trying to play to our shiiit players strengths (343 to help Xhaka), we should be playing to our best players strengths. I bet any of our our strikers would pick Ozil to play with than Xhaka

Yeah I agree with that so much as he’s falling too much into trap of playing these players who routinely fail to get him out of the hole he’s in. Didn’t work for Wenger or Emery, and now isn’t working for Arteta. He has actually said recently that he needs 6 players still to play football he wants, i think he knows that most of these players aren’t good enough. Seems though he doesn’t quite have the nerve to drop them. Don’t think you can go full ‘just play the kids’. But there are certain players who have done nothing to justify a place who should be dropped, and his non negotiable stance is seeming de valued by playing them. The players he needs to drop are same ones who I bet will cause unrest as soon as you do, so I can understand why you’d want to keep them happy. Those players just basically need to feck off out the club fast, whoever is in charge, because they’ll do the same to another manager

Back your manager...when he continues to select the most incompetent & ill disciplined player in the premiership, who let you down badly YET AGAIN yesterday...

You are actually insane if that's what you believe.

A player who loses the ball and then starts walking as his teammates (wingers and strikers) who were more advanced than him run past him to press the player who took the ball off him is not lazy?

Congratulations on being Ozil Fangirl #1, how tragic that you cannot see the destruction Ozil has caused at this club.

That's one other thing I decided not to include because he was already our worst signing ever but here goes...

Ozil's total output for Arsenal, one good season out of 7/8, laziness and the toxicity and disharmony he has caused in our dressing room and amongst our fans versus the total expenditure of around £200-£250m makes him hands down our WORST EVER SIGNING.

I wonder how many Arsenal matches you have watched over the past 10 years. Definitely can't be all of them like me if you genuinely think Ozil should be playing for Arsenal.
