Be interesting to see bielsa’s comments on whether he set us up to be more defensive. My bet is he’ll say he’s disappointed that we didn’t do more with the ball.

I think we can put to bed the burn out issue. If anything Chelsea were running out of steam in the last 15 mins.

Poor ref though. Very quick to get the book out for our players yet seemed to play on a lot when we got fouled.

Hate VAR though. It just spoils the game imo.

Noticeable how we defended better without Cooper.
Big thumbs up for Tyler now why can't you play like that every week.
Harrison invisible unfortunately but overall a very good solid team performance.

The flagging was annoying me from that linesman. He put the flag up twice for us when it was very close, they are meant to play on

did play well and had the better chnces. IM didnt have to work to hard but their keeper had to make a few good saves

Struijk has all the attributes to have some career ahead of him and he has just the coach to guide him.

He's gone from 4 choice back up player to a player where you don't even question his place in the side.

Great point - have to admit that I expected to come away with nothing.

Roberts - who I still feel gets brushed off the ball too easily - did far better than he has recently, whilst Struijk and Meslier continue to show that, despite being young, they're clearly ready for the PL.

A good start to the weekend. Cheers for sorting Highland.

As a fierce critic of Roberts it is good to see him have a better game.
Match will not live long in the memory and it will be a dull day elsewhere if it features high up the running order for MOTD.
One point is a good return against an in-form Chelsea. Solid defensive display.

Rob/Matty, Martinez is trying to convince Struijk to choose Belgium over Holland. Been raving about him.

So played 45 minutes of football which when he is coming back is what you expect.

Yes we have gone from struggling for center backs to an embarrassment of riches. We can concentrate on strengthening other areas of team in summer.

He did ok. Coming back as you say. No embarrassment to get subbed when on a yellow and we looked a bit light in midfield.

I’m sure he will get better as he plays more.

15 seconds on Leeds and. Mendy took up 10 of those!

You have to say that Struijk has made one of the centre half positions his own now and the defense is so much more solid with him in it.
