Strange time to play that Blades game, 3 o’clock on a Saturday. Whatever next
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Phew looks like I get to miss the Burnley match
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't hold out much hope of any of those four matches being particularly entertaining affairs.

So sorry. Carry on having fun then. If the misspelling is elsewhere, what's the point of mentioning it on here. I think most people would have thought you were aiming it at him.

Errr my thread, I'll mention what I like if you don't mind. There was actually quite a big clue that I was referring to elsewhere when I said

Ahem, the president would prefer you call it Cote d'Ivoire
Was listening to the molineux view podcast (Jackie Oatley and a Tim Spiers) earlier and they were saying how much west ham have benefited from empty grounds, their home record in particular has been much better than recent seasons. Not having their fans toxic disdain for the owners and stadium to contend with has clearly benefited the players positively. You'd think the reason they get all that money was because they are able to perform to their best every week despite the external pressures.
Yeah hard to say what effect no crowds has had on certain teams. Have to assume Liverpool's remarkable home slump is crowd related. Not sure when it comes to us, would imagine that with the performances we have put in and poor results that the crowd would have aired their displeasure a few times.
Cutrone having quite a good tournament for Italy so far. Scored twice today one a 20 yard screamer, the other a penalty, he also missed another penalty which he himself won. Assisted the goal in the first game as well.
Italy have had five players sent off in the three games but still progressed

Disagree. All the Wolves season ticket holders that I regularly see have all been purring with satisfaction at what can only be described as the best Wolves team in their life times.
These performances and results have got us to mid table in the Premier League, which will be our third best league finish in the last 40 years.
Undoubtedly we have suffered more than most due to BCD matches, but not due to the toxic and moaning fans being absent like West Ham, but because the players have missed our fantastic support and appreciation of their talents.
👍
It’s been the case ever since we started playing behind closed doors that there has been a much higher proportion of away wins. Last stats I saw from the Premier League it was set to be the first season ever that there was set to be more away wins than home wins. The crowds do make a difference and there are some crowds more passionate than others. The two Merseyside teams and Newcastle and in recent seasons Wolves do have crowds that are more vociferous than most. West Ham have a bigger nicer stadium now, but I think their fans would tell you the atmosphere is poor compared to their old ground.
And there is generally a massive difference in attitude between those that go to the games and those that sit at home and comment through their keyboards. Always exceptions of course. There are moaners in every ground and there are those that can’t get to the games but retain their enthusiasm. But having been on these forums for many years there have been countless games that I have been to and enjoyed then come home and read comments online then wondered if we were watching the same game
all bollox, its players and managers that win draw or lose games, not fans
Bollox. No question that fans influence games and can turn losses into draws and draws into wins and when fans turn against a team they can influence negatively too. Football pitches are all pretty similar, it’s the fans that give teams a home advantage
I'm afraid that this forum, as of late, has become a platform for the DJ Molineux Show and it's time for me to do what others have done in the past and take a break. However, I will continue with the HC League for the rest of this season.
Portugal fell behind to Luxembourg last night and were still behind when Pedro Neto came off the bench in the 41st minute. He then provided two assists as they turned it round to win 3-1
Portugal have played three games during this international break and Moutinho was evidently outstanding in the first half of the first game, but had to come off at half time and hasn’t been fit enough to play since. Hope he’s ok on his return to Wolves

MORE BOLLOX !!
fans have a marginal impact maybe
but ours and liverpools loss of form is down to players ie top players missing.
both had no problem last season without the fans - but with top players.

Of course injuries to top players has made the biggest difference to ours and Liverpool’s season. But every season until this season there have been more home wins than away wins in the league. Seems obvious to me what’s different about this season
your logic then leads to the conclusion those same fans fans have little or no impact when they are away if their team performs better when they're not there
What does the well known expression "Home Advantage" mean then? Where does the advantage come from?
