Fifa uefa and the fa have to stick to their guns here.
They have all said players and teams in this league will be blacklisted if it happens.
That has to happen if they want to have any hope of this not happening.
If it does happen there has to be a situation where any team who decides to compete in this competition are kicked out of the league.
Make it so no team wants to be part of the five teams they want to play in this.
this is going to happen, feck um, move on
FIFA and principles in the same sentence.
Agree, LST, but its a really sticky one...
Fifa and principles? The next World Cup is being played in Qatar, ffs!
The whole thing STINKS!

True, butfufa need this to fail.
nah its been coming & this time it is for real
Head of Danish FA says he expects Real Madrid Chelsea and Man City to be kicked out of the Champions League Semi final stage on Friday.
They will be replaced by Dortmond Porto and one other team that lost to Real Madrid or Liverpool in previous rounds. Not sure how they will decide which other team joins PSG Porto and Dortmond but this is definitely the start of the big six being expelled from tournaments and their domestic league. Sad times

good, no not sad but progressive to the extent of the elite being elitist.............morons, they will be back begging, lie with dogs
no coincidence its more or less the same owners/clubs who wanted PL to bend to them and guarantee no relegation and give them all the power and money regardless of every other team in PL or EFL.
Kick them out now and let them go their own way and tell them if it fails no way back
they will hope more will follow, there will be a lot of political spin / blagging going on, it won't fail but it will not take long before they realise it was a bad idea very bad idea.
Football is on it's deathbed, greed and foreigners have seen to that, they've killed the FA Cup and now they're killing our domestic league.Radz ain't no different, remember Myanmar.

That is interesting but also unclear in places. The anti-competitive aspect could of course be aimed at the ESL potentially in that the courts could ban it

Blaming "foreigners" for sheet is the trend right now isn't it? Those foreigners is why we voted Brexit anyway.
FIFA have been based around money more than football ever since Joao Havelange took over in 1974. Whilst UEFA have only ever had one way of dealing with the 'big' clubs of Europe and that's appeasement.
I think there'll be a compromise and a solution (that's not really good for anyone but offers more permanence of income and a greater share of the money to the 'big' clubs, as the re-formatted CL does) will be found.
And then a few years later the 'big' clubs will threaten a breakaway league again. Rinse and repeat.
Unfortunately, appeasing bullies is a short-term solution and only guarantees a return visit to the problem sometime in the future.
