I think everybody knows that a lot of good stuff goes on. Some of it is even genuinely well intended.
That's completely irrelevant to the matter at hand and I'm not sure why you would even bring it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To balance the negative links I posted.
To make the point that if you look for sh 1t behaviour from football fans you’ll find it no problem.
To make the point that every football club has a full spectrum of followers.
To make the point that bad news is way more highlighted than good news (which perhaps it should be in some respects)
To show that people’s behaviour is driven by the content of their character not what team they support e.g. the example of the person getting slashed at Parkhead- you said that it would’ve happened anyway cos the people involved knew each other and it was a personal thing.
Which was the point I was making - the person who bottled the ten year old Rangers fan didn’t do it because he was a Celtic fan, he did it because he was an out and out lowlife coward.
Those are some of the reasons
Not a great image some of the Rangers fans are portraying to the rest of the world in all honesty. Need to cop on lads.

I don’t agree with that.
If we were playing hamilton he wouldn’t have launched the bottle at the bud. He did it because he was a Celtic fan and it was a bus full of Rangers fans.
He’s an absolute sc^mbag of a Celtic fan.
Btw, surely that video kicking about of the Rangers team is a fake? If not then fluck me sideways, chanting F. TP at a title party

I know what you’re saying - I’m meaning that alcohol and hatred of the opposition facilitated the act.
Deep down though - if you’ve got the will to throw a bottle, the stuff the fans chucked at the cops at the weekend, etc, that comes from your core values.
As for the video - I can’t for the life of me imagine players e.g Defoe, Kamara, etc singing that FFS

Again..you're in complete denial about what actually happened at the weekend and previously.
Unfortunately sometimes things just happen. Random acts.
What happened at the weekend was planned for a year and the club was fully aware.
It was an organised event with thousands involved. There's a malignant growth at the heart of your club. The weekend was never about celebration. It was an aggressive and militaristic show of defiance and it was inevitable that it would lead to violence.
It's getting worse and it will land the club in big trouble.
Dont expect you to see it but that doesn't change the basic facts.
Good weekend everyone?
Did I miss anything..?
It was an organised event with thousands involved. There's a malignant growth at the heart of your club. The weekend was never about celebration. It was an aggressive and militaristic show of defiance and it was inevitable that it would lead to violence.
———————————-
Being organised was a fact yes - not by the club though.
The rest isn’t fact it’s opinion
If the 10000* people all acted in the same way as the neds did then there would be a case for using the term militaristic but they didn’t.
I’m not apologising for countering the assertion that all Rangers fans are the same as those who committed violence.
And quite why anyone would want to is beyond me.

👋
It feels like this could be a great opportunity for Rangers to come out and condemn some of the behaviour in the strongest possible way. I'm not hopeful. Their message before the weekend that fans should celebrate in their own communities 'if possible' was lamentable.
Indeed, zach
I’ll give an opinion though. Had Celtic won 10 there would be similar ‘celebration’. Would it be George Sq I have no idea because I’m not sure there’s a history of that ‘claiming the city’ triumphalism? Only link I found was one occasion when there was a demo against OBFM legislation.
Anyway, had that celebration happened I am sure the would also be some scuffles between fans and I am sure businesses would have closed and the public would have been equally appalled at the drinking, urinating, rubbish and all.
However, had Celtic fans done that I am 100% sure that there would be significant numbers of bears that could not handle it and a pitched battle would ensue on top of any friendly fire. Would it happen the other way? I’m trying not to be partisan but I just can’t see it? The concern is that some precedent is being set for every subsequent triumph and it won’t end well for football with a FM that already despises the sport and all it’s add ons.

Not sure about us turning up in any numbers had you done the ten perhaps but we weren’t ther at the one for the treble treble
A wee bit of drunkenness aye but the total rseholery was sad

Fair point re the 3x3. It wasn’t George Sq though and my feeling is that would be a trigger? Dunno but let’s hope it’s not an escalation from here.

why didn't they let them congregate in Bellahouston park or something

i made some comments yesterday which i stand by, in haste to be offended some people and the village idiot jumped on it without actually reading what i wrote, it's something i have been saying for years though so its not reactionary.
i wonder if we would have this issue if it was the spanish polis, they would just kick your cvnt in.
see tbf, if they arranged a place for them to go it would look like they were bending the rules everyone else is expected to follow just to accomodate rangers fans, and we all know how swimmingly that would go down with the celtic support.
Well let’s wait and see if the accusation of “righteousness” unfolds.
To me the club need to be seen to act even if it’s only to state anyone found guilty etc is banned.
I just don’t get the march to George Square thing. It does come across as “this city is ours” mentality which is bordering militaristic.
Most went for a day out after months of being told to stay locked away indoors or at work and I get that. Bams will be bams and they ruin it for everyone else.
