He's not semi-permanently injured. He has had a few injuries so far early in his career, but given his age I'm sure the medical team will be confident they can get his best years out of him and potentially help to rectify any issues he has with aspects such as strength and conditioning.

Could be slightly rocky for the first couple of months but I expect after a third or half of the season has gone, he will flourish like most Klopp signings do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
totally agree

Loris Karius
Ben Davies
Alex Manninger
Steven Caulker
Dominic Solanke
Marko Grujic
Konstantinos Tsimikas
Ragnar Klavan
Takumi Minamino

have all ripped up the premier league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How many starts have all of those players got between them? The only player who has even started a sizeable amount of games was Karius and he was swiftly moved on.

Alisson, Van Djik, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah have all tore the Premier League up however and then there is Thiago to add to that as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i think the fact that they were signed and hardly played doesnt really help your argument one bit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact that most of them were either backups or emergency signings doesn't help yours.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
answer me this.. regardless of cost or whether they were emergencies.. were they a success?

the answer is no... simple
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't matter as they were backups or stop gaps. Put the spade down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

of course it matters.. it doesnt matter if they were stop gaps or back ups.

im sure dan james was signed as a back up... he certainly hasnt been successful

The difference is the players you have listed were successful squad players.

It's United's fault if James isn't...

I'd say you're a bit desperate if you have to include Manninger and Caulker.

Would be like us criticising you signing Grant.

I forgot Liverpool signed Manninger.

I think most sane people know what the guy meant when he said klopp usually gets it right. When we have spent a decent wedge on a player under klopp the success rate has been unusually high. Only keita has been a letdown up till now.

On that list above the most expensive signing is minamino I think at about 7m. All clubs make these stop gap singings/ squad filler signings. Its not really what managers are judged on. They tend to be judged on the signings they spend big money on.

If you want to think klopps transfer record is rubbish mate crack on if it gives you some comfort. We tqke comfort in reminding ourselves that the majority of his signings have led us to a champions league and premier league title in the last couple of years.

Impressive that there’s such a tedious argument on one of RDD’s articles and it doesn’t involve him.

He's a quality player, massive potential, but he's clearly got injury issues. I'd be nervous about us signing him. If he can sort that out, amazing prospect.

Konate - Van Dijk
Fabinho

That’s one hell of a defensive shield if they can keep Konate fit. Three absolute monsters physically.

I think they are probably laughing that an united fan is mocking Klopps transfers business when United have done some awful deals in recent years, and not won a title or CL in that time.

What's even funnier is that when Klopp and Liverpool sell players it's for a profit. Ryan Kent, solanke, hoever etc all bought in way more than expected. Grujic and minamino will def go for a profit.

Lindelof, Fred, McGuire, wan bissaka, dalot, James, matic, Jones, van de beek, pogba?!? that's how much down the toilet? 😅

Always thought Upamecano looked the more dominant of the two, but with VVD maybe that style of player isn't required.
