He saying that City's fanbase is so small that it would be akin to splitting an atom.

It's a metaphor because atoms are also very small.

What is the most likely club to challenge PSG for the CL this season is the main question in Ronaldo's mind.

Not for me, Ronaldo is a rag c**t, it should stay that way.

If any club "sells" 20-30 million shirts, would it be scrutinized under FFP? If not, wouldn't it be fine for such a club to "outsource" shirt sales to a third party in another country? Such a third party could then remit the "revenues" after "deduction" of commission & sales tax to the said club.

F*** him. I’ve been a huge fan of his since his united days but i hate him for this. The worst part is he’s the one who’s engineered the move

If he goes to City, at least it will stop some of our fans from still pining after him. At the end of the day, he left in 2009 because he gave the club no real alternative but to sell and in that final season he went through the motions a bit too imo. So I certainly don't see him through as rose tinted glasses as others do.

Hopefully he messes up the balance of the team if he goes to City.

If city want to pay astronomical wages for a 36 year old who will not fit into tiki taka, is selfish and will no doubt incur the wrath of a coach who Messi aside has always struggled with egos

Well, I see it as an agent Ronaldo move tbh

Ronaldo going to a lesser club to see out his career is frankly no different than schmeichal or cole or even dare I say it the crock that was Hargreaves

If he had left us in 09 to go to city that would be an issue but he’s 36, a great goal scorer still but he’s not what he was just like the three aforementioned

He may help the lesser club finish above you for the 9th consecutive season

They could easy make a couple hundred million from shirt sales the first year alone
----------------------------
People keep peddling this nonsens, shirt sales revenue goes to the manufacturer. Only something like 10% goes to the club. Hundred millions in shirt sales is just plain nonsense.

Whilst clubs might not get the lions share of the actual shirt sales, the more merch they sell, the more they can demand from manufacturers when deals are negotiated.

Do you think City fans will go purchase Ronaldo jerseys en masse?
