Surprised to see Itten going out on loan, all the talk from the club had been that he was finally starting to settle in the area after having his first year disrupted by lockdowns. Hope for his sake he makes the most of this loan to come back pushing for a starting spot.

Itten has lived in the same house in Bearsden with his lady friend since not long after he joined Rangers. The suggestion he had been living in a flat and had only just settled in a house is absolute tosh.

I am not sure why the club put that out tbh. Seemed to me to be making an excuse for why he hadnt contributed more.

Bit concerned we get an injury to either CB (despite Starfelt's sketchy beginnings).

Other than Bitton who has shown himself to be a liability there at times, we have no real cover there at all. We got lucky with Welsh slotting in so comfortably but there's no guarantees any of the other young lads will do the same if it's forced upon us.. and with our current style of play, the CB positions are already exposed. Wouod be unfair to ask a youth player to immediately step up and fill that void so early into the season.

As much as I hate loan signings, we've been really daft not even going down that route to cover ourselves in the short term.

It's just going the way deadline day always does for us so well used to it now. the player(s) we have been linked with for weeks now(in the case of GG) kept until the very last minute for an announcement.The deal was done on Thursday officially by all accounts
