Saddest I've been for someone I've never met passing. But in a strange way I felt I knew him or at least knew he was a gentleman and deserved respect. Properly good at what he did and I think it's hard to sum up what he meant to Rangers. But I think even with nine in a row his second stint might have been more impressive
Rip to him. Won't soon be forgotten in Scottish football.

Only seeing this now. Sad day for football
A man of genuine stature, an absolute giant really. A massive thorn in Celtic's side and I always felt it was a wee bit more of an achievement winning an old firm game against a Walter Smith Rangers team. Just the sound of his name really resonates, that's the best way I could possibly describe it. A genuine legend of the Scottish game and will be forever remembered Im sure.
So influential and a huge presence for scotland and more so rangers. A proper football gent by all accounts and respected by all.

Completely agree Ginger but you know what will happen if they boo any silence. Other fans then boo them and before you know it the tribute becomes a mess. It would be upsetting if that's how it went. Hopefully fans can blank it out and pay their tributes.
