Tbf to Rodgers his Leicester side spent more time in the top 4 than Chelsea and won an Fa cup against all odds. Plus his side went to City and put 5 past a Pep side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And then Leicester didn’t finish in the Top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should they though? Massively underinvested compared to their top 4 rivals and a huge injury crisis at the end of the season. Leicester will be very happy with 5th place and an FA cup.

We shouldn't be looking for an improvement on Ole because on the face of it that shouldn't be too difficult.
We need a manager who can compete.

He's the only choice now that Conte has gone.
Ten Haag is a risk, same with Zidane. Rodgers is PL proven at least, and has actually been in a title race.
He's not ideal, but 2 shocking results in 2 weeks under Ole - something has to change.
And when I say shocking - they are the worst performances i've ever seen from United.

I’d take an FA Cup at the moment though.

To be honest if we’re going for Rodgers, I’d much rather go for Ten Haag, who competes with top sides in the CL on a regular basis, wins leagues even though he loses his best players and also plays great football.
Guess Rodgers has been there and done it in the PL though. Hopefully learnt a lot since he fecked up the title at Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem with Ten Hag is that he may just be a guy who only operates as well as he does as part of the well oiled machine that is Ajax. He would have to sacrifice a few ideals to join a club which has actual competition rather than Ajax who dominate their league. I think he a very good coach but he doesn’t offer any more guarantees than Brendan does
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's true that we haven't seen Ten Hag (like Rodgers, actually) at a dysfunctional club. However, he does have some heritage beyond Ajax. He worked at Bayern during Pep's time there and is highly rated at the club, and he came to Ajax as a bit of an outsider who was confident enough to make changes to the way things are traditionally done there.

Unfortunately for us Ole is here until May at the very least.
Ole's record in the big encounters has been disastrous but if we are equally poor against those below or around us then the Glazers may push the panic button.
We can change managers as much as we want but as long as we have caants who aren't prepared to work like dogs on the pitch we won't see success. The likes of Fred, Lindelof, AWB, Shaw (sadly), McT, Matic, Muguire can not be relied upon. I would even add DDG to the least, great shot stopper but sheite in all other respects.
