Brendan Rodgers Verbally Agreed

Unsure on Potch, he did pretty well with Spurs but isn’t really getting a tune out of a great PSG squad.

I think I’d actually prefer BR.

“but as long as we have caants who aren't prepared to work like dogs on the pitch we won't see success”

Something I’ve mentioned a few times, the players work rate is so far behind the top sides.

To be honest if we’re going for Rodgers, I’d much rather go for Ten Haag, who competes with top sides in the CL on a regular basis, wins leagues even though he loses his best players and also plays great football.

Guess Rodgers has been there and done it in the PL though. Hopefully learnt a lot since he fecked up the title at Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem with Ten Hag is that he may just be a guy who only operates as well as he does as part of the well oiled machine that is Ajax. He would have to sacrifice a few ideals to join a club which has actual competition rather than Ajax who dominate their league. I think he a very good coach but he doesn’t offer any more guarantees than Brendan does
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's true that we haven't seen Ten Hag (like Rodgers, actually) at a dysfunctional club. However, he does have some heritage beyond Ajax. He worked at Bayern during Pep's time there and is highly rated at the club, and he came to Ajax as a bit of an outsider who was confident enough to make changes to the way things are traditionally done there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd quite like Ten Haag tbh

But he'd not solve our problems straight away, maybe not until the summer

Ten Haag favours the double puvot 4231 that people moaned about Ole using

We'd still be struggling to find a role for Pogba and still be suffering because of our options in midfield

He may well get improvement out of Mctominay, possibly Fred too (who did improve under Ole compared to how he was under Jose), even might give Donny a game there....

But if a/any new manager doesn't address the midfield as number 1 priority we may as well give up

Really makes me angry Busby.

You don't need world class talent to work your nuts off for the badge. I don't care how talented these players are, if they aren't prepared to sweat blood against our bitteriest of rivals then they can eff off.

All this cultural reset is just bollox. We now have a culture of pure bone idle laziness. It's all on Ole and his staff, the players clearly aren't buying the clueless sheite he's putting in front of them.

The "team" is a reflection of the manager. Damning indictment!

Our DoF is Murtough btw. A great visionary.

Our set up is not geared towards serious, winning, sustained, successful footy on the pitch. It's clear to see. I just can't believe 3 years on, 441m spent and we still can't control matches, still lack a style.

Cumulatively nearly 10 years, over 1bn spent

Keep up

You might be just enjoying another dig at Ole... But it's 8 years of failure as a club, 8 years without a style or dominating if you're talking about the club not being set up for success... We're a disaster and have been since Fergie jacked it in

So would I RR, as I said yesterday
Rodgers is a good manager but it's
not an appointment that would excite
me; Although I would get behind him
of course.

What really influenced me to Potter is
watching them being at least the equal of
Pool at Anfield the week after we lost by five.
They looked a really well set up team and
imo were actually the better team of the
two on the day.

…..

The question would be is Potter able to do that with a team like United who have higher expectations.

Who ever the new manager is. He needs to bring his backroom staff with them as well.

That depends. It didn’t work out for Moyes. But we need to get rid of Carrick, Phelan and McKenna.

It's under Ole we look the more clueless.

Yes we've not been great since SAF left but 3 years and serious money spent under Ole, recruiting well generally, should have been enough to establish a style of play, a bit of personality, a bit of work rate.

We're a laughing stock.

You're an ole lover?

Quit with this notion that people who don’t hold your views are Ole lovers. It is tiresome.

That is the million dollar question. Would he get the 'buy in' from the egos. Easy enough to say they should do but we know it doesn't work like that. I do think that an appointment like him would be worth a risk all things considered. We're a mess at present with no direction. I thought I'd give Ole the season but things have gone far worse than they should have. I could have kind of accepted the City and LFC games had we beaten Villa and Everton at home well.

To qualify what I said above that by no way means the City and LFC performances were acceptable.

They need to quit questioning why I have a dig at Ole then! Works both ways, doesn't it?!

Ole deserves nothing but the flak coming his way! In fact most have been restrained by the virtue he's a club legend.

Some of the most cowardly performances I've ever seen against two of our bitteriest rivals.

It's unforgivable. Forget everything else, Ole should just walk based on those two results and the manner of the defeat.
