Good news, things going in the right direction again. It was a difficult decision for the government and not one I agreed with, and no doubt she'll face the consequences of that decision at any elections in the future.
Hopefully this is the last of these kind of restrictions but we'll see what the future brings.
What would Boris Johnson have to do in order to step down?
1. Pump the Queen?
2. Pump the Pope?
3. Take a chit on your carpet?
Just glad we don't have to listen to the bears saying I told you so if restrictions were extended, that would have been exhausting

Number 10 won't comment specifically while Sue Gray's inquiry is going on but.... 2 eyewitnesses have told me PM and his wife were at the event, long table had been laid out in the garden for drinks and snacks

would appear boris is no longer as useful to her as someone else might be.
Boris will never resign because of something like this. Either the Tories give him a push or he stays in post until the next election (or he decides he's had enough and walks of his own volition).

Johnson is fvked.
Even this mob have a tolerance limit for lies & sleaze.
All the Downing St leaks come from one of his hopeful successors.
Aided & abetted by Cummings of course.
My money's on Sunak.

She is as complicit as anyone in the rhetoric of fear and alarm. Horrible bloody woman.
Boris will likely stumble through to end of the Spring and likely in coincidence with the end of all restrictions on Covid, back to work etc whilst the NI protocol will be either agreed or binned. He can then “retire” having see is through the pandemic and Brexit.

Lets be honest - opening up the stadiums now with Omicron still due to peak makes about as much sense as putting an arbitrary 500 figure on attendances in the first place.
However I think we have seen enough now to just accept a complete absence of logic in whatever is put in place so we shouldnt ever be surprised.
Having fans back is great. The no fans at Parkhead never appealed to me at all. Same with Pittodrie - I would rather see their greetin faces inside the ground when we beat them.
The concern that still exists is that we have no wriggle room now for postponed fixtures.
Just need to cross our fingers again and hope that works out too.
Looks like the winter is going to pass without any bad weather. I know February still to come but the forecast rest of this month is fine. Seems like a relatively mild winter this year

Who knew that being outdoors never resulted in higher infection rates?
Christ, people even had numerous parties in the knowledge it was safe.

It's not a fair comparison.
Transmission is different, time infected is different, control of spread and infection rates is completely different.
There was zero logic in the decision.
Outdoor events aren't really a risk and while I accept the point around travel you have to be vaccinated to get in the stadium so even if someone did get it the chance of severe illness is ridiculously low and significantly less than say shopping centres etc.
Still can't understand any reason it was done other than in the hope that our numbers would be better than England and they could point to the extra thing they did and football fans they seem to think of as an easy target.
Glad it's getting kicked into touch, just in time for the rugby
