It would be for Labour if they had any kind of leadership but Starmer is a nonentity.
It's certainly good for the SNP though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this is one of the main problems with politics at the moment. Not a fan of Starmer but he (week in week out) systematically and forensically takes Johnson apart during PMQs.
But honestly and integrity do not seem to be that important with the electorate as only (according to YouGov) 63% of the populace want Johnson to resign following the publication of Sue Gray's initial findings.
Personality appears to be more important than policy.
In regard to Blackford, he would have been fully aware Hoyle had to remove him, as MP's cannot make accusations of 'deliberately misleading' the house. Yet at the same time parliamentary rules permit MP's to to lie, and make false claims, save for them correcting the record.
Which serial liar Johnson has refused to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually don't think people care that much about this partygate thing. The only people that care about it are the ones that wanted him out in the first place and he's just given them yet another reason.
But most people are going "well covid restrictions are a thing of the past, vaccine rollout went well and we are miles ahead of most other countries in terms of covid recovery".
I think that's what people are more focused on, results rather than petty political squabbles.
Rightly or wrongly.
The sight of Rabb, Patel and all the other nodding donkeys on the front bench yesterday was sickening. Get them all to fck.

Fair points mucker, pesonalit andceleb culture are in part responsible.
When grey May led the Tories, apparently there was no booze at number ten and certainly no drinking culture, but she lost support internally and among voters, who saw bojo as a weapon to defeat Corbyn.May was as bland, by the book and detailed and it bored the media and public?
This is not a defence of the clown and liar Boris, but his backers will point to getting Brexit through, albeit badly for NI etc, and the vaccine, plus hard calls against COVID restrictions and a possible pandemic exit, These may have saved his bacon, had he not lied about parties??
Am being devil's advocate, as personally I think he is not a good leader or PM.

People should care, but they don't. You just shouting at them isn't going to change it, just entrench those people in their beliefs.
If people actually had open and understanding conversations with other people without going in saying "I know better and the only success in this conversation is you agreeing with me" we wouldn't be in this mess.
People would rather be "right" in their mind than right factually, on all sides of the debate.
A week ago I stood there chatting to a republican from Texas. Naturally we didn't agree on many things but we listened to eachother and low and behold had a lot of common ground and I was able to understand his viewpoints and actually change some of his hard entrenched views on guns and the death penalty. We then had a few beers and watched the NFL playoffs.
Nobody has the ability to do this anymore, and that's why we are at eachother's throats all the damn time.
It goes to show how gullible folks in the ‘red wall’ constituencies were. You get what you vote for and Bojo was never going to change he just blurted what they wanted to hear and drank his champagne 😩
Those who have came out in support of Johnson are largely those who you would expect.
Nevertheless they are supporting a PM who is subject to a a number of criminal investigations by the police. And will be cautioned when giving evidence to the MET.
If/when the MET issue him with a fixed penalty notice for breaching CV19 rules, his supporters may fall away very very quickly.

If the PM ends up with a fixed penalty notice which is the only thing that can happen, what exactly do people expect will happen?

People should care. Anyone that makes the rules should lead by example, NOT openly flout the law.
One of Mogg's utterly pathetic attempts at defending him was "perhaps the lockdown laws were too strict". F@cking laughable.
I saw a clip of one woman who had changed her mind about Johnson and she said she had voted for him originally because he was "a man of the people"
This is the guy who burns money in front of homeless people.
Boris de f@cking Pfeffel Johnson, man of the people
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People should care, but they don't.

David David was on GB news again today urging bojo to go, and the public are turning on him, with a diminishing Tory mp defence in parl yesterday prepared to defend the clown.

Not going to happen.
The shameless will pull all the levers of the law and have whatever legal mind, convention, security services, national interest pressure on the rug muncher and it won't be proven in the end.

Rightly or wrongly, red wall working class labour voters did not trust Corbyn and wanted Brexit done, so went for least worst option...folk also feared labour tax hikes, but Boris is doing that now too.

If the PM ends up with a fixed penalty notice which is the only thing that can happen, what exactly do people expect will happen?
He isn't going to jail because of this FFS.
