Saw a piece the other day were Labour's 'socialist' policies (above) were presented to traditional Conservative voters. Who were largely supportive of them. Until at the end of the piece, they were informed the policies were actually ones promoted and presented by Corbyn - they were horrified.

FYI pov
I’d class all of Labour more or less like Corbyn. They just wear different faces to suit.

It would be for Labour if they had any kind of leadership but Starmer is a nonentity.
It's certainly good for the SNP though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this is one of the main problems with politics at the moment. Not a fan of Starmer but he (week in week out) systematically and forensically takes Johnson apart during PMQs.
But honestly and integrity do not seem to be that important with the electorate as only (according to YouGov) 63% of the populace want Johnson to resign following the publication of Sue Gray's initial findings.
Personality appears to be more important than policy.
In regard to Blackford, he would have been fully aware Hoyle had to remove him, as MP's cannot make accusations of 'deliberately misleading' the house. Yet at the same time parliamentary rules permit MP's to to lie, and make false claims, save for them correcting the record.
Which serial liar Johnson has refused to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair points mucker, pesonalit andceleb culture are in part responsible.
When grey May led the Tories, apparently there was no booze at number ten and certainly no drinking culture, but she lost support internally and among voters, who saw bojo as a weapon to defeat Corbyn.May was as bland, by the book and detailed and it bored the media and public?
This is not a defence of the clown and liar Boris, but his backers will point to getting Brexit through, albeit badly for NI etc, and the vaccine, plus hard calls against COVID restrictions and a possible pandemic exit, These may have saved his bacon, had he not lied about parties??
Am being devil's advocate, as personally I think he is not a good leader or PM.
