there was a big difference in both performances
Rangers were creating chances for their team , they just didnt get the luck
Celtic didnt really create anything - other than a couple of chances for Abada which is worrying
Rogic was a joy to watch, wasnt he ? - jogging half ersed at everything and then giving it away anytime it came near him -.
O'Riley made a big difference when he came on - fair play to him had a couple of lovely little touches and we looked way more in control with him around
dont understand why the urgency only kick ins with 5 to go ? - can we not increase our levels beforehand ?
bottom line is we didnt look the part at all - i thought Lennon had taken over again so lacklustre was the performance
GG wouldnt have made a blind bit of difference i dont think
total turgid nonsense from us yesterday and the game panned out how I thought tbh, no attacking intent from Hibs and their defence throwing themselves at everything, was always going to be a tricky game. Didn't help ourselves though and looked like we weren't up for the battle.
Rogic was a joke yesterday tbh, played like an old man again.
I agree, I think GG could have made a difference as there were several balls into the box, most aimless but some just over the head of a tiny maeda. Not sure what we were hoping for constantly floating balls into him up against 2 monsters at the back for Hibs and a giant GK.
We need to get a grip pronto but a draw at some point is always on the cards so it might not be the worst result given how consistent we have been results wise over the past 5 months
Turnbull coming back is a boost imo, aye he can be frustrating but at least gives us competition and is a goal threat....plus I'm sure he'll be desperate to come back in and make an impression. Seems like Kyogo won't be bac til April which isn't great but that might be a timely boost for the split fixtures when they come.
Win these 2 games this week and we'll be in a good position with a 2 week break in the league.
i think GG's physicality in the box would have made a difference tbh CT.
i have to question how stupid we were yesterday, big cb's and a 9ft tall keeper and we kept playing high floaty crosses to a guy maedas size, it was moronic.
I also think we should have hooked taylor and brough on ralston, he hits the line and puts in low driven crosses which is what we needed.
I just don't understand the drop of in intensity from us since the Motherwell match, and the tinkering since this. We have 10 league games left, with hopefully Kyogo and Turnbull due to return, time for Ange to settle his selections and drive on, starting with a dominate display against St Mirren on Wednesday night (hopefully).
let off yesterday with rangers btw, had they won with us having livi and ibrox coming up that could have been a big momentum swinger.
I keep saying it but our right hand side was flying with juranovic, o'riley, and abada, and then for some ungodly reason he decided that we should probably stop playing the 3 of them together.
f...ing mental.
I think CT is right in terms of the manner of the dropped points. I said last week that it was a bonus that rangers dropped after playing well and battering Utd last week. Maybe not as much of a doing yesterday v Motherwell but they still created plenty chances to win the game. We literally had one big chance yesterday in the whole game.
issue is we don't look like scoring.
i think people are a bit blinkered about how good we have been this season, don't get me wrong when we have been playing well we have been astounding to watch, but we started poorly, had a decent patch, were pretty hard to watch up till winter break, then after that we had a good few games and now we are back to being hard to watch.
Did rangers tire in the second half yesterday?
The pitch was also bobbly as fck yesterday......Livi aside though I think thats the last we'll play on a bad pitch this season hopefully. 5 games before the split, 3 at home and Livi and rangers away. Pitches should be in better nick in April/May
After this week that will be it for the midweek games also. I reckon that has defo caught up with the squad in terms of the drop off in performance. Get through this week with 2 wins and we can refresh after that. Livi is a nightmare game for us but all focus got to be on Weds after nearly dropping at home to Dundee last week. 6 points not a gimme for rangers either this week.
Interesting one for rangers on wed tbh
Can be a tricky game that one
I think not having Kyogo is affecting us
Look at the amount of goals kyogo scores with players bouncing off his movement . Hes very clever ,quick and illusive and literally invites threaded balls in tight areas ( oh er)
Maeda I do like but he's nothing like Kyogo and we need to accept he's a completely different type of player .
Ange always assess our performance so he won't be blind to what's going on
Hopefully he sacks rogic for a bit , his contribution since Motherwell has been disgusting
But that's him ...turns up every 5 games
Hatate wasn't great yesterday either , but when he's on the ball he can make things happen ...I wanted to see him get in the ball more and speculate with it

Notice he didn't go for his shots from outside the box yesterday that we know he is capable of scoring.
Hatate was very poor yesterday, looked like he chucked it tbh, needs to get a grip.
Maeda, not going to lie I thought would be better than what he's shown so far. He's missed a fair few sitters aswell.
No doubt we'll be back to Ralston at RB and Jura at LB this week. I think Jura was one of the better players yesterday
i think the whole team just looked shattered tbh, uninterested, gloomy, just meh.
GG hopefully back for wed and sunday.
Kyogo is such a gut wrenching miss for us right now, might sound over dramatic but what a loss he is for us. Luckily til yesterday it didn't affect us results wise but for reasons CT mentions above me miss him. We'd have scored a lo more goals recently with him in the side
we're a completely different team when Kyogo is in it.
we can get by with GG but we don't look impressive.
Sitting through our turgid 90mins with the fear of dropping, then dropping the points, then seeing rangers winning 2-0 and expecting the GD to be cut drastically and then just accepting it.....for it to then go 2-2 and instantly feel ill at the thought of Motherwell holding on. Football eh. Feels like most of the season been like this and there's worse to come

Jura certainly looked pumped for it early doors but in a 'everyone sees a different game' moment I was disappointed with his forward contribution compared to his normal high standard TBH.
Rogic over O'Riley after both started midweek was baffling, as is our consistently poor return on corner kicks and set pieces. I'd be happy to get Julien back in the team just for threat he brings in those areas.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
A double whammy since MOR has a better delivery than anyone else in the squad. Will be pashed off if Turnbull takes over when he's back.
Hatate looked like he had whatever GG had?
No idea why he didn't give Ideguchi a run out?
we seem to have ditched the inverted full back stuff as well
it's been poor for a number of weeks, intensity has dropped, we're not as fluid going forward as we were against Rangers/Motherwell
We're not creating as many clear cut chances
Kyogo is a massive and I'm hopeful we can get Turnbull back as he offers something different in the middle of the park
I'd be inclined to give Guchi a shot on Wednesday
Hart
Ralston
CCV
Starfelt
Juranovic
Guchi
McGregor
ORiley
Abada
GG
Jota
turnbull will be a good option to have when he comes back but at the same time i'm a bit concerned about the balance in our midfield.
ange previously used turnbull and rogic and that clearly didn't work.
he has used rogic and o'riley and that clearly doesn't work.
it has to be hatate, mcgregor and one of those 3.
and by 1 i mean o'riley.
baffled me that guchi didn't come on tbh, hatate was offering very little.
